Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.

This movie challenges the viewer to step out of their comfort zone and look into the deep and complex world of consumerism. It's a constant battle of consumerism and communism coming together to fight the common enemy of the gypsies. If you don't like this movie you also probably don't like puppies, vodka and the American dream. 10/10 any day , everyday.

It's obvious by my rating that I hated this film. A lot. I wanted to see it because I thought the premise was interesting but soon all that it had going for it went down the drain. The movie has some serious problems with pacing as some things feel like they came out of the blue. The story is the main issue of this whole film. To be honest, it's like if a bad Frankenstein film got mixed in with a really weird and poorly written romance. The characters are pretty flat and most of the comedy is pretty bad, unfunny and just makes you want to face palm. The effects are pretty cheesy and the acting is even worse. The script is over all just a mix mash of good ideas that went wrong and terrible writing. I feel like I should have put a restraining order on this film.

I don't have many expectations of a B movie, but this one took what seemed like forever to set up.William Cole (Bruce Campbell) is the Ugly American businessman with the unfaithful wife Jackie (Antoinette Byron) on a trip behind the Iron Curtain. He runs into a cab driver Yegor (Vladimir Kolev) with a jealous gypsy girlfriend Tatoya (Tamara Gorski) who kills all three.Enter mad scientist Dr. Ivanov (Stacy Keach), and his assistant Pavel (Ted Raimi), who replace the damaged part of Cole's brain with Yegor's. Now we have a competition between an uber Capitalist and a Communist playing out in his body.If that isn't far-fetched enough, they put Jackie's brain in a robot. This movie just kept getting crazier and crazier. Funny at times, but crazy.

OK, well, no one in their right mind(s) would pick up a movie titled "The Man with the Screaming Brain" and expect it to be serious. This is an outrageous b-movie, and that means a truly hokey plot, strange characters, clichés, over-the-top action, and oh-so-cheesy one liners. For that odd segment of the population (including myself) that gets a kick out of that kind of thing, this is a gem.The acting is better than expected. Stacy Keach is embedded in his character. Bruce Campbell brings a spirited, convincing performance. His physical comedy skills are truly impressive in this movie and hearken back to the "Evil Dead" films.
