Livestonth I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible
PiraBit if their story seems completely bonkers, almost like a feverish work of fiction, you ain't heard nothing yet.
Gurlyndrobb While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
The Illuminated Lantern The beloved character Master Q returns in a full length animated movie. Like many Hong Kong comedies, it's a creative pastiche of Hollywood ideas, including Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and the Matrix, complete with a "bullet time" parody. The story is about a latchkey kid and his annoying younger sister, who becomes withdrawn from the world and just plays video games all the time. They eventually get sucked in to a video game, and have to find their way out with the help of Master Q, Potato, Mr. Chun, and their dog. There are a few scenes that take place on Hong Kong streets and it is fun to see Hong Kong animated, but not as much fun as it was in last year's MCDULL movie. The movie is well animated, comparable to a middling Japanese effort, but the story is dull and there is more high-pitched whining and screaming than actual dialog in the film, making the ending a welcome relief. Chapman To provides the voice for Master Q, Eric Tsang the voice for Potato. To give you an idea of how annoyingly whiny the movie is, note that these two actors have the least annoying voices in the entire production.
cyberdynesystems101 I've been reading and watching the Old Master Q shows since I was 6 years old, and I loved them. They were funny and entertaining. In this new version, Master Q is a pet detective, that helps people find there missing pets. Reminds you Ace Ventura doesn't it? It's definitely as funny as Ace Ventura. The animation is for it is fair. It all looks like it's completely done on computer, not hand drawing what so ever really. That can sometimes make it look really fake. The plot is about a Master Q, who owns a pet detective agency. But this isn't the whole story. There is also a boy, who has an addiction with online games, and it's taking over his life. He also has a little sister, who's looks reminds a lonely man, of his daughter dead daughter. The girl gets captured into this virtual world, with his brother, and it's up to Master Q and his friends to save her. That covers the plot. The movie uses a mix of game footage, and live videos, along with computer animation, but not CGI. Overall, it's a fair movie. You probably won't enjoy it unless you're a long time Master Q fan, but it's definitely worth catching a glimpse.
