Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.
Ella-May O'Brien
Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
Darin
One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.

This movie shouldn't even be a full star. I couldn't even focus while watching it because I was so bored. The original was much better. It was dumbed down to a "disney like" version. I get that it was probably aimed toward maybe 6th graders or something, because the original did have some pretty crude jokes. But that's what made it funny! This garbage lacked good fashion, humor and even good acting. The line delivery was so fake, and the movie itself was just so unreal. Honestly, I wish this were never made. It will forever be in the 1st mean girls shadow.

This movie is just an overtly sexualized Disney Channel version of what 50 year old writers think Mean Girls is about. I voted it two because if this was not called Mean Girls 2, it would be a perfect film for preteen girls to watch at a sleepover. It's adorably cheesy for that reason.

Jo Mitchell (Meaghan Martin) has been living alone with her NASCAR mechanic father since losing her mother at the age of one. They move around a lot. She's the new kid in North Shore High. It's ruled by the Plastics led by Mandi Weatherly (Maiara Walsh). Chastity Meyer (Claire Holt) and Hope Plotkin (Nicole Gale Anderson) are her sidekicks. Abby Hanover (Jennifer Stone) is the bumbling sweet rich girl. Jealous Mandi lives across the street and picks on her relentlessly. Jo wants to follow her mother to go to Carnegie Mellon but her father doesn't have the tuition. Tyler Adams (Diego Boneta) is her partner in shop class and Mandi's stepbrother. Jo gives Abby a ride home after the latest bullying and Abby's dad offers Jo money to be Abby's friend. With escalating Mandi bullying, Jo and Abby start the Anti-Plastics.This movie's biggest problem is that it has a great original to live up to. It isn't that close. Tina Fey is gone although Tim Meadows does return as Principal Duvall. The girls are all solid Disney TV actresses. The material is functional until the movie decides to resolve the situation with a football game. It's the stupidest writing possible. Melanie Mayron does her normal TV directing job. This could never be as good as the original. It's on a trajectory to be functional tween TV but the final act is too stupid.

UGH.Mean Girls 2 is EVERYTHING I feared the first one would be... And, then some.Instead of two dimensional characters we can relate to, we get completely uninteresting cardboard cut-outs who have ONE definable trait.See if you can spot the bimbo, the dumb blonde, the biker chick, the OCD girl, the shy wallflower... along with the usual procession of jocks and nerds. All of them about as memorable as the Men In Black.Instead of the finely tuned social satire of high school, we have gross-out humour and childish slapstick. The biker chick gets her butt stuck to her motorcycle. Ho ho. The OCD girl gets green paint of her face to look like the Wicked Witch Of The West. Hee Hee. The bimbo gets vomited on by her boyfriend. Ha ha.Oh, my aching sides. (NOTE: All sound effects are improvised)Worst of all, whereas the original got a bit mushy at the end, Mean Girls 2 is unabatedly sappy almost from the get-go.It expects us to FEEL for these underwritten stereotypes masquerading as people. Yea, good luck with that.I never thought I'd say these words, but... COME BACK LINDSAY LOHAN!! ALL IS FORGIVEN!!Oh yeah, and Jo's Dad needs to lock his damn car up, if he cares so much about it.Finally... That climatic American Football game between the Plastics and the Non-Plastics...Just... WHAT?! 4/10
