Billie Morin This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
Calum Hutton It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
Juana what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
gavin6942 Mousie and Sad Girl are childhood best friends in a contemporary Los Angeles poor Hispanic neighborhood. But when Sad Girl becomes pregnant by Mousie's boyfriend, a drug dealer named Ernesto, the two become bitter enemies. At the time of filming, most of the cast was made up of unknown actors, some of whom were actual gang members from Echo Park (such as Danny Trejo). It also includes the first film appearances from Salma Hayek and Jason Lee, in small roles. That last point makes the film important in its own strange way.I suppose you could see this film as something of a follow-up and answer to Dennis Hopper's "Colors". Set a few years later, it covers some of the same ground, just on a lower budget.
castro_la_bonita77 It is so much like the world I grew up in during my high school years that there isn't a character in the movie I can't identify with. Everytime I watch it, it's like I'm watching a home video of me and my old friends....
daffy2003us The movie Mi Vida Loca was very interesting because it taught about how the gangs worked, and what you had to do to get in the gang. The movie focused on how two best friends ended up hating each other over a man, when they should have known that a man will come and go, but friendship last forever. I really enjoyed it,and I would give it two thumbs up, I still feel the ending could have been better, but over all it was great!
jcjmjc I liked how the movie was filmed is about it. They are telling you what happened in real life is liked teenagers go through that stuff but the good thing is that I liked the girls take care about their children and they never let their children with other people liked if they weren't anything. If I know that an other women is with my boyfriend I never go out with him or sleep with him also I think that that's truth about people they still used drugs and sale drugs so they could have money and take care of themselves. But that's life can do anything else have to do what you have to do.
