not horrible nor great
Matrixiole
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

A film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
Kayden
This is a dark and sometimes deeply uncomfortable drama

Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.Lovely to see Tyler Labine out of his comedy comfort zone and doing good at it to.

Bought this on Netflix and pleased we did. Well chosen cast played things naturally which, with the restrained unflashy directing, made great use of the atmosphere and amazing location.Chace Crawford and especially Tyler Lebine do an excellent job of carrying the movie, which is 90% a two hander. It has some laugh out loud moments which I won't spoil and a nice set up and exploration of family tension. Overall a good movie and one I would recommend. It also does the Canadian tourist industry no harm, as we want to visit now!

One word: Hilarious. A better one? Meaningful. This is not like most comedies I've seen
usually I hate comedies but Mountain Men was actually pretty good!! The script was not cheesy and the plot centering around a city boy that comes home to his country brother—and the two of them trying to work together—was unexpected in a great way. This film is a lot better than most on the big screens because of the connection between the brothers and the measures they take to survive together—that definitely makes it. Films with adult siblings are always deeper to me because of the underlying history between the kids, and this film is no exception. The concept of their deceased father communicating with them in the present, one newly pregnant girlfriend and another missing in action, and the intricacies of their relationship after so many years apart definitely brought some insight to me.

When watching a movie, I look for a couple of things that make the movie worth watching: Is it keeping my attention or boring me, Would I be willing to watch it again, just to name a few. Well, although the beginning didn't look promising, the movie actually turned out to be good. The actors were correctly picked for their parts and were very convincing. The brothers interacted well, and I eventually got that good feeling I was looking for. I felt very satisfied that the movie left no questions unanswered. I would watch it again as I feel their were some things that might have been missed first time around. I give it a solid 7 out of 10. Enjoy!
