Borgarkeri A bit overrated, but still an amazing film
AnhartLinkin This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Freeman This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.
Cody One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
saraccan Its an interesting movie if you were ever curious about the events that led to the birth of Islam. It focuses on the accuracy of these events that are accepted to be true. Its a 3 hour biographical epic which shows the birth of Mohammed, his teenage years, his constant travels to stay alive and some of the miracles he performed.
aziznitham this movie is the best movie i have ever seen. Muhammad(pbuh) is messenger of god. this movie has good graphics. best story in Hollywood. The film was set to have its premiere at the Fajr International Film Festival on 1 February 2015 but was pulled out due to technical difficulties. For the critics, film-makers and journalists, a special screening was held at Cinema Farhang in Iran on 12 February 2015. The film was released both in Iran and at Montreal World Film Festival on 27 August 2015. The film was selected as the Iranian entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards.I thought to myself how can they hold an honoring ceremony for me in a country where my beliefs and sanctity's are insulted... So, in a letter I said I could not attend the ceremony (in a country) where my holiest sanctity's are desecrated. Instead of showing reaction to the insults to Islamic sanctity's, it is better to do some action to introduce the Islamic culture and that is why production of the movie 'Muhammad (PBUH)' was started 7 years ago.
mkmk-997-858049 One thing was so surprising to me that the massive amount of publicity was granted to the movie; after all it made up my mind to watch the movie at the theater. I want to start with good impulses. First of all I loved the music. The music-styling and composition was impressive; it almost captures the archaic and epical cadences of an original oriental-roman style. I should mention that the custom design was sth that was giving a dangerous quality to the movie.Actually, I expected much more battle scenes, because of the challenging and hostile waves of the first period of the Islamic history. Special effects was effected and terribly handled. The make-ups was not very detailed.I hesitated there were some major flaws in the plot itself. At the first impression, it seemed that the connection between the editing and the screenplay was infant with no sophistication; retelling some independent events with a clumsy attempt to make sense of the sequences. If overlooked, following and understanding the Mohammed's (PBEH) character from the movie was totally perplexed me: Sentimentality was sth rampant throughout the movie, the PLOT. Sometimes evoking a feeling of deception. As Armstrong says: "Their scripture, the Qur'an, gave them a mission: to create a just and decent society, in which all members were treated with respect. The political well- being of the Muslim community was, and is, a matter of supreme importance." But this supreme importance was depicted as some miracles and superstitions; even the prophet himself was illustrated as an angel descended from heavens! The movie could have a cultural consequences to introduce the real Islam, but it seems that it missed the opportunity.
David Kiliand This is the first time i write a review in this website, i was so excited after seeing the movie that i really wanted to share my joy with you. I saw the movie yesterday in cinema of Iran, it was really great. The cinematic were incredible. The musics used on the film (by A.R.Rahman ) bring it to the next level! I was a fan of Hobbit and Lord before this movie, but i can tell you that this movie in almost all aspect is as good as them with a simple difference which is that the history behind it is totally true! that makes a really great feeling specially for Muslims. I cried in a lot of scenes of it and goosebumps in the miracles scenes. I repeat that the best positive point of the movie is the music which has been successfully joined with the film.Sorry for my bad English.
