Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

My Girl and I is a romantic film that involves My Sassy Girl star,Cha Tae Hyun. It is a story about classmates who never fulfilled their dreams of being a couple and living together happily ever after. Just like most Korean movies, this movie ended up in a tragedy. The couple were never able to overcome the obstacles presented to them in the story including death and illness. This turned out to be an your typical Korean love story. The acting of the cast was not exemplary with the exception of Cha Tae Hyun,who was able to gain the sympathy of the viewer with his role portrayal. Song Hye-kyo is very pretty but was never up to par with her leading man as far as acting is concerned. (Paging Gianna Jun/Jun Ji-Hyun? LOL ) Aside from that, the story became predictable and does not generate interest in the end. But still, I gave the movie a 9 out of 10 rating for Cha Tae Hyun's performance alone. It still proves that he alone can carry a movie inspite of its many flaws.

My girl & I ,is a very touching movie,bring you to world of pure love and true feelings without all of the American love story style that depend in sex and the other disgusting things that ruin any love story.its really make you believe in the true love .the actress song hyo was very good in her part ,she make you believe in her ,with the cutest smile that full of kind love and sadness,you will defiantly feel what she feels in the movie because she did it very will.the movie tell a story about a man fall in love with girl that all guys in their school wanted her to be their girlfriend. but she fall for him only, and the love between them was bigger than the life , when she become ill and couldn't be with him forever .its really A good movie and good story that will make you believe in love again.

I'm not certain why Korean audiences are going through the "sappy love story" phase that the United States had to endure in the 1970s, but "My Girl and I" follows the same dubious steps as "Ryan's Song" and "Love Story" complete with heart-wrenching tragedy, young love, class struggles, and with the oddly Korean addition of broad comic sidekicks without which the film would be unbearable. Beautifully shot, and acted with a heavy gravitas, the script is the biggest fault in the movie, with overly-ripe dialog which becomes more earnest and overbearing as the film progresses. The music is similarly unsubtle, with thundering strings and a solo piano line increasing in volume whenever a tragic scene raises it's head. Perfect date movie for the romantic sentimentalist foreign-film enthusiast (you know who you are).

Parang-juuibo (aka "My Girl and I")is the 2005 Korean remake to the Japanese movie "Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World." Su-ho (Tae-Hyun Cha), a simple teenager, and Su-eun (Hye-Gyo Song), a pretty and popular girl, start dating. Their love is for each other seems eternal. By leaving messages to each other on the phone, and through their many times together, their love grows stronger. Until a tragic event occurs.I thought the movie was very good. The movie is able to portray true love and happiness very well. Although it seemed to skip around a little bit, I believe you should check this movie out.
