OllieSuave-007 Hong Kong pop singer Sammi Cheng plays May Ho, a woman who after getting into a car wreck received a six sense in her left eye.It is indeed a ghost movie, but like much Hong Kong movies with the supernatural theme, comedy is mixed in. In this case, it works a little in the movie as the plot was well-paced and acting was decent. There are also some sappy romantic scenes, which makes you sometimes think you're not watching a ghost movie. There's also quite a bit of gore in the film, which seemed out of place for such a sappy film.Overall, it's not too bad of a film. It's watchable, has some unpredictable moments, but it doesn't surpass some of the more conventional and intriguing ghost comedies of the 80s and 90s. Grade C

chris-2270 I couldn't take this movie. Maybe it's a culture barrier, but I have pretty broad taste and tolerance for many films including foreign (non U.S.) films. I had an expectation that my wife and I would both be pleased by what we saw.This was not the case and within about 40 minutes we abandoned the movie. The storytelling was poor and I quickly became confused as to what the point of the movie was. It was cheesy as some say, but that did not win me over. The production values were actually pretty high. The acting passable.But these two elements do not make a film ready for an audience. I try to avoid explaining why it is others writing in submit one favorable review after another for a movie I had to put down. If they are not paid publicists, then there's no accounting for taste, right?

mindless_junk A wonderful romantic commedy starring the ever lovely Sammi Cheng. It combines romance and comedy beautifully in a simple but yet fulfilling story, with ghost element involved. Think of it as Hong Kong version of Hollywood's heat movie "Ghost" only that this one has more Chinese taste and is definitely better. The music is beautifully but yet not intrusive.Without giving too much away, the movie has a slight twist at the end, though the observant audience would probably recognize it early on. The twist helps to tie the movie logically together.Sammi gave a great performance as a newly-wed widow who transforms herself... She has trully become a magnificient performer and can hold a movie on her own shoulder.A 9/10.

GothamGal I have to say that this movie caught me by surprise. I thought it was going to be a horror movie, along the lines of The Eye and it was not. It is a fresh comedy with a romantic twist. It is character-driven, very real characters that you can relate to. Sammi Cheng who plays May and Chi-Sing Lam who plays Sam put in great performances, both very funny. The movie begins in a graveyard with the burial of Daniel, his family and ex-girlfriend sobbing over his grave. That's when the ex-girlfriend who helped Daniel and his family build a very successful purse business learns of Daniel's quickie marriage of 7 days to May. She now gets his inheritance, and she turns out to be a smoking, drinking and lazy gold digger.One night while drinking and driving, she smashes Daniel's car and meets Ken, a ghost, who scares her soul back into her body to continue living. After an operation, she realizes that she can now see ghosts with her left eye and Ken will not leave her alone.I recommend this movie as light-hearted fun, and it will definitely suck you into it.
