Nitzan Havoc "My Little Eye" first premiered around a decade ago. The internet had already become as common in average households as a refrigerator, reality shows had already broken into the public's notion, and the web- cam technology had already allowed to spice up chats with live moving image.This movie attempted to capitalize on all of these concepts in order to create an average-budget horror film, and in my opinion - has done a very good job.The movie started with the sweet nostalgic sound effect of a 56k modem connecting to the web, and the characters presenting themselves as they tried to explain why they would be good candidates for an online 24-7 reality show, much like Big Brother. Very nice artistic touch by screenwriter David Hilton.As the movie went on, we noticed some very interesting shooting angles and effects (including interesting 4-in-1s which resembled an online conference call, and night-vision shots) along with some original sound effects (sort of static noises like the ones coming from an ISDN cable instead of your usual heavy bass when something bad happens suddenly). Personally, I also loved the music used during the infamous sex scene (F*** the Pain Away by Peaches).The plot was original enough, but not brilliant... same goes for the "twist" and the ending. All in all the story wasn't more than OK, and the level of "horror" wasn't high enough to actually scare me, unfortunately. I did however like the characters very much, and would've loved to watch the original four hour version. Also, not much blood and gore, which is always a plus on my book!I recommend to every Horror fan who'd like to see some artistically surprising effects, and to anyone who's a fan of reality shows. This is not, however, a sufficiently frightening movie.

Kevin xaverius I just watched this film one day ago and I found this film has a very interesting storyline, about 5 people who accepted a challenge to live together in a small house in the isolated wood. But, soon they found something's wrong with the competition.The film use a semi-mockumentary style camera and make it more scary to be watched. The scoring and lights effects also very great.But the film has some weakness. First, the acting of the actor and actress were okay but not very good. I couldn't see a well scared expressions from them.And I also hate the ending. It's the worst part of the movie. I think why should the villain kept one of his victim alive in a small room instead of killed her?

Raul Faust Much like "House of 9", this movie is about 5 twenties who get into a reality show a little different from what they thought it was.In the beginning it runs kinda slowly, but after the first death it becomes more involving and intriguing. "My Little Eye" looks amateurish and low-budget, but that's what brings reality to this kind of movie.It has its tense moments, its suspenseful moments and was very good after creating a creepy atmosphere. "House of 9" was released 3 years after this one and seemed to have copied many things of this movie, but they did a much better job there. They had better casting, better plot and a much better ending with philosophical thoughts. But after all, it's still a good movie that deserves to be more known than it currently is.
