Highly Overrated But Still Good

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

Never Back Down 2: The Beatdown is an absolutely brilliant film which is a lot better than the first Never Back Down film, is a film which is underrated and I also honestly don't know why they gave this film 5.8 out of 10, this film should have got 10 out of 10. This film has some absolutely brilliant acting by martial arts film actor Michael Jai White as Case Walker, Dean Geyer as Mike Stokes, Alex Meraz as Zack Gomes, Todd Duffee as Tim Newhouse, Scottie Epstein as Justin Epstein and Evan Peters as Max Cooperman. The film is a lot more tense and powerful than the first Never Back Down and has some excellent fighting. The characters are a lot more stronger and powerful than the characters in the first Never Back Down, The music in the film is absolutely awesome, Todd Duffees character Tim Newhouse is a lot more powerful than Cam Gigandets character Ryan McCarthy and Michael Jai Whites character Case Walker is extremely powerful compared to Djimon Hounsous character Jean Roqua in Never Back Down. The film also has an absolutely brilliant martial arts fight scene where a group of police officers are trying to arrest Case Walker for a crime he didn't commit and Michael Jai Whites who plays Case Walker starts doing these extremely powerful kicks, punches and grapples and starts kicking the living daylights out of these police officers which was absolutely amazing to watch. The viewers who gave this film 4 out of 10 etc are idiots, this film is a top quality martial arts thriller.

Let me put it in this way:Bad acting - Horrible plot - And a lot of unnecessary sex and f*** words everywhereThe only thing that is worthy about this movie is Michael, he is an excellent fighter, he knows about MMA, his technique and pretty well mastered and well executed. If you are looking to watch good fights you are gonna find them in this movie, what I did was looked for the fight and skip all the three things that I mentioned before. The edition of the movie is well done, also the fight scenes are pretty cool, not fantasies just real stuff. If you know about martial arts you are going to noticed and enjoy the development of this matches.

Quite literally a high-budget movie about several d-bags and "tarty" women. The male characters (who are supposed to be buddies) are constantly at each other's throats in a pursuit for who's the most masculine, and one of the characters' friends even gets so big headed that he goes against them. The only one who seems to have any sense is their trainer, White. Literally all of the women flaunt themselves throughout the movie, including the main character's love interest, who gloats about the large amount of people she's slept with and even makes fun of the guy's virginity while romantic music plays in the background.Very few characters are portrayed as good people, and as a viewer, I felt no sympathy for their endeavor.

I was very disappointed with this movie. The first Never Back Down easily became one of my favorite movies. Yes, I buy into cheesy stuff like that and I thought it was an amazing movie because not only did it have fighting but it had romance as well and a story that was very easy to follow. This movie though was utter disappointment and I'm disgusted with the male mind and how far they allowed this movie to go. The sex scenes could have been easily cut out and the topless girls were unnecessary. If they want to keep that, they could have made a theatrical version of the movie for the girls of this world that don't want porn added into an otherwise decent movie.I liked the characters and the cheesiness but there are parts of this movie that I wish I could unsee. I'm going to call terrible editing skills and horrible calls for which scenes are appropriate.
