Let's be realistic.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.

'Oru CBI Diary Kurippu' was the birth of the legend that beats justice with more brain than brawn - Sethuram Iyer, CBI. Essayed to perfection by the inimitable Mammooty, the movie is based on a case diary of a CBI investigation headed by Iyer. Suspecting foul play in a suicide of a young married girl, Iyer and his crack team of Vikram (Jagathy) and Harry (Suresh Gopi) get down to solving the mystery behind the death. Supported by a lingering theme song and a stellar cast, this movie's different approach {There were no songs nor heroines to distract Iyer :)} was eagerly lapped up by audiences, young and old alike.A classic movie. I rate it 10/10.
