Ren Amari is the driven inventor of a revolutionary new drug. OtherLife expands the brain's sense of time and creates virtual reality directly in the user's mind. With OtherLife, mere seconds in real life feel like hours or days of exciting adventures. As Ren and her colleagues race around the clock to launch OtherLife, the government muscles in to use the drugs as a radical solution to prison overcrowding. They will create virtual cells where criminals serve long sentences in just minutes of real time. When Ren resists, she finds herself an unwilling guinea pig trapped in a prison cell in her mind. She must escape before she descends into madness, and then regain control of OtherLife before others suffer the same fate.

Solidrariol Am I Missing Something?
Grimossfer Clever and entertaining enough to recommend even to members of the 1%
BelSports This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.
Staci Frederick Blistering performances.
jamalking15 Too predictable, and it fell for the overused simple plot: Evil partner wants to make money on another's work. Could have presented better ethical dilemmas or even finished a full story, but instead it became lost in imaginary worlds and fear of technology. I'm guessing the funding for the movie ran out and they just dumped what they had on us. But, the acting was good, and main character likable.
killerzus Watching this, I got a feeling it was from the makers of Black Mirror, but seeing it wasn't I was surprised they managed to capture the same feeling as the Black Mirror series. The story is set in the near future when biotechnology is further along and can produce memories from drugs, creating a false memory in just a few seconds of days-long vacations and other sorts. If you like Black Mirror, this is recommended. If you like this and haven't seen Black Mirror, you should watch it. If you don't like Black Mirror, this might be slow to watch. As with the Black Mirror episodes, it also gives you alot to think about, and a deeper meaning to it rather than just another movie.
vmmvieira I was not expecting much from the movie, but I was positively impressed. The story is very engaging, and one can relate with the main character easily. The performance could have been more intense, but if it did it would have cost another 30 to 40 minutes. The main character was very well developed, but the supporting actors required also a bit more time and intensity to make it to the right point. The plot was very good, and keep one engaged and always looking for the next turn of events. I highly recommend it, and I'll be looking for the next directors film, as this one is definitely one to keep an eye on.
herkGR I really enjoyed this film, Jessica De Gouw is so gorgeous female to watch out and a very good role performer. Se was very convincing as a computer programmer as good she were in other aspects of the film. At this time I'm reading Michio Kaku's "The future of the mind" and I feel so excited that a lot of this book pair the feature of this film.
