Good start, but then it gets ruined
Matrixiole
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

This is an Atlanta low budget horror film with a familiar twist. Kendall Summers (Zoe Myers) is a near "B" actress who wants it all. She is moving into a fine home in what appears to be Smyrna, i.e Julia Roberts old home. She treats too many people like dirt, but still has a core of friends. Things happen in the house that implies a haunting. It you notice the alarm clock, it is 2:58 AM when she lays down and moments later it is 2:44....then she wakes up at 4:42 in the afternoon. Is this by design or just a screw up. At about 29-30 minutes into the film, Kendall opens the door. There is a shadow in the scene next to her that slowly backs off. Stage hand or by design? Later Kendall sees a shadow, but not the same one. The directer/ script writer Chase Smith plays a "crappy" director and script writer in the film. Kendall reads the script at home and it is what has happened to her, she makes no connection. I did like her Foxers, although Zoe Myers would make Fruit of the Loom boxers look good. I wasn't overjoyed with the twist and the acting was on an Eric Roberts level. Michael Ford could pass for Eric Robert's son.Guide: F-word, sex, nudity (Not Zoe Myers, she just major league teases)

Hollywood Nightmare is a would-be psychological thriller set in the cold and ruthless Hollywood world. It was made without any budget or real talent and for most of the running time the plot consists of an untalented young actress wandering around her new home and trying to make it interesting. The film is a little self-referential in that the protagonist is herself an actress appearing in a low budget horror film, but sadly nothing much is done with that premise. Much is made of the price of fame and fortune and the character's own self-belief which verges on arrogance, but she's so shallow that you hate her from the outset. The whole film has an MTV-style shooting style and you won't be wondering if the new home is haunted, just when it will all end. Unsurprisingly, the ending when it does come is a real let down.
