It's fun, it's light, [but] it has a hard time when its tries to get heavy.

I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.

An absolute butcher of the book , the Jonathan Davis soundtrack is all that saves it . This incredible series of books needs a ' game of thrones ' treatment. Faithful to Anne Rice's original vision of this story .

I've watched it disregarding anything related to the books, therefore, I wouldn't judge the movie by any fidelity with the novels (I've read The Vampire Lestat but not Queen of the Damned). Having said that, it is indeed a bad movie. Bad acting, horrible visual and sound effects. Gutural sounds when biting, no blood after feeding, blur and trails behind the vampires movements. Interview with the Vampire was able to show very elegant special effects but this movie is hard to watch. It isn't a good movie even if measured only by it's story or if you don't care about the books.

After a one-hundred year hibernation, the lonely Lestat (Stuart Townsend) awakes and decides to be a rock and roll star, exposing that he is a vampire. Jesse (Marguerite Moreau), who works at an organization that studies paranormal phenomena, investigates the vampires in London and finds their coven. The president of the organization David Talbot (Paul McGann) tells that they should only observe and lends to her Lestat's journal. Jesse learns how Lestat turned into a vampire by his maker Marius (Vincent Perez) and his first contact with the powerful Queen Akasha (Aaliyah), who is the first vampire. Jesse becomes obsessed for Lestat ad travels to Los Angeles, where he will give a concert with his band. Meanwhile vampires from every part of the world travel to the concert to kill Lestat. What will happen in Los Angeles?"Queen of the Damned" proceeds with the return of Lestat but is not a sequel of "Interview with the Vampire". Lestat is different and less evil in this film and Stuart Townsend is witty and funny. The inexpressive Marguerite Moreau begins and ends with the same pointless face. But the music score is great and the special effects are top- notch for a 2002 film. The death of Aaliyah in 2001 in plane crash is the sad part of this film. My vote is seven.Title (Brazil): "A Rainha dos Condenados" ("The Queen of the Damned")

I don't understand how people didn't get this movie. It has everything! Love, darkness, horror, great music...it is very sexy movie. Best part (to me) is when Queen offers hers lover everything- eternal life and all the wealth in the World, but he chose something else... Love it! There is lot of very bad movies about vampire and they have great ratings here, so I don't get how this great movie is rated so poor. I've seen this movie many many times now and still love to watch it like the first time. Lestat and Queen Akasha are totally sexy Vampires, dark and cruel. The film leaves you thinking that you could decide if you were in his place. Would you accept what it offers Queen Akasha or human Jesse Reeves? I am not fun of vampire movies and think they are for teens, but this one is for watching with your loved one at your date night :)
