The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

It's simply great fun, a winsome film and an occasionally over-the-top luxury fantasy that never flags.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

This movie is actually pretty good. Alright, so its a b-movie horror, and this genre doesn't have the best track record, but this movie is something different. In fact, its one of the best b-movies I have ever seen. The movie creates its plot brilliantly. More so than many blockbusters actually. We find out the reasons for the character's actions early on, and throughout the film the audience is kept in a state of suspense. This is because not only is the plot created, it is maintained until the very end. Too often in bigger films have the writers/directors put a huge twist in the middle that leaves you lost, whereas this film creates just a few small ones, then delivers a huge one right at the end that allows you to make sense of it all. It is easy to follow. Special congratulations has to go to Kathleen Archebald who delivers a spectacular performance despite being so young (easily better than many actors, I should note.) All in all, this film is great, and puts a new, deadly spin on this tale and reinforces one fact- don't let your kids play with knives!

This story had so much potential... But it was shittily done with crappy equipment, contrived dialogue, shitty camera angles, and an awful actress in the lead role. I HATED this movie. But the concept was pretty neat, and there were boobs, so I believe someone should take it upon themselves to remake it. Since that's unlikely to happen, this movie will most likely go down as the worst version of red riding hood...ever... and also will be inducted into the 100 worst movies hall of fame. I would really like to see someone take this concept, run with it, and do it some justice. As long as someone does this movie with a budget over $5000 dollars, it would probably be a vast improvement.BLOWS MAJOR ASS! SOMEONE PLEEEEASE REMAKE THIS!

It was...different. It wasn't what I was expecting although I'll admit I didn't really read the back of the DVD case when I rented it. All I saw was the cover and it was in the horror section so I figured what the hey, but I liked it. It was an interesting little spin on the fairy tale. Very cool. But that was one messed up little girl. Not to mention I think I spent half the movie trying to figure out if George was real or not. And the ending was a little dumb. But I LOVE the mask and the music. I agree it was very Dario Argentoish which is probably why I liked it. I love the really gory movies. I think this is one movie I would like to add to my DVD collection.

This is seriously one of the worst movies, horror or otherwise, that I have seen in a long time. Usually I like low budget and foreign horror films but this was really awful. The acting was bad, the script was written by a senile monkey, the lighting and audio was sub-pare and I couldn't get the Spanish subtitles to turn off. The lead actress needed some serious eyebrow plucking tips and the film makers attempt at symbolism through Don Quiote was done so ham handed that even de Palma would be shocked.I was lured into renting this movie because the box cover looked cool and I thought that I had nothing to lose. Be warned this is an hour and a half of your life that you'll never get back. Unless you have a time machine and even then I don't recommend it.
