Why so much hype?

It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

It is neither dumb nor smart enough to be fun, and spends way too much time with its boring human characters.

I was shocked to read the negative comments posted about this movie. It was a great movie. It even gave me nightmares. This was a truly sick movie, as the title suggest. The acting was phenomenal. "Brandon" blew me away with his incredible acting skills. The characters in the movie were extremely good looking, so good looking, it made the movie almost unrealistic. The sex scenes made me horny. The angles of the camera were incredible, better than Hitchock's. The plot couldn't have been better. The clown was so frightening i almost peed my pants. This movie is seriously a must see for all horror lovers. I can't wait to rent 2 SICK/Mr.Jingles. I'm hoping it'll be as good as this one, but i highly doubt it seeing this one was so great. Sincerely the best horror movie i ever seen. I thought the remake of The Fog was good until I saw S.I.C.K.

I bought this from Blockbuster for 99p. The guy behind the counter said the reason it was so cheap was because the disc was scratched to sh*t, but failed to mention that the reason it was so cheap was because the film was a p*ss poor effort that sucked harder than Paris Hilton in a hotel room home video. Talking of home videos, since when has it been fair game to release them as films - I mean to say, films used to employ actors and technicians and scriptwriters and so on - not any more - just gather your friends and lame-o ideas together for the weekend, lavish the production with an £8.00 budget, and get someone to fall down the stairs with a Casio keyboard (the soundtrack) - then slap it on the shelves, for some poor sap (me), to take home in lonely desperation. But here's the clincher - I fast forwarded through most of this, and tossed it to one side, ready for the hammers... until the next night, while watching a Darren Day horror 'Hellbreed' (£1.99 to take home and keep from a different Blockbuster). Now this film made 'Grim Weekend' look like The Exorcist, so I slapped Grim Weekend back on, to catch up on some of the moments listed on the wonderful IMDb boards, that viewers claimed were hilarious. Sure enough, once I had got over the misery, the pain, and the horror, of realising Grim Weekend was utter chod on toast, I could enjoy, savour, and downright get down to the funny stuff. And there's a lot of it. Check the boards. Then check the flick. Hell, it might even be worth it. AWWWWW CRAP!

God knows I've seen some awful horror films in my time but this really is the worst of the worst! I can't even begin to describe how awful it is, but I'll try. First off, the acting is dreadful. Not the worst in the world, but still dreadful. One of the strangest things is that one of the guys in this film actually looks like Ash from The Evil Dead. Perhaps this was deliberate, I don't know. About half an hour into the film and there's still no blood or gore, just loads of stupid dolls found in beds and trees. Seeing the characters arguing and whining was starting to annoy me, so I decided I'd had enough and switched the DVD off. This was obviously a no-budget film, but that's no excuse for how awful it is. It reminded me slightly of another no-budget clown film called Camp Blood, which despite it's flaws is actually entertaining. No one should have to sit through this pile of crap, so unless you want to torture yourself or your friends, don't bother.

In the beginning this movie seemed to have a not so bad build up. The characters were saying plausible lines and the story seemed as if it could be going somewhere (-the first little unrelated scene). The killer clown in the woods idea was a kind of cool idea to go off of as well. However towards the end (other than the sex scenes) everything seemed forced and the scary plot potential they had fell apart. If done right this plot line could have been brought to much greater heights. Its really too bad because I think people have forgotten how to make films like this. Someone needs to save the horror/slasher genre.
