Just so...so bad

Mei, a young girl whose memory holds a priceless numerical code, finds herself pursued by the Triads, the Russian mob, and corrupt NYC cops. Coming to her aid is an ex-cage fighter whose life was destroyed by the gangsters on Mei's trail. Safe has Jason Statham once again at his best doing what he knows best beating people up, we're talking about a film with lots of car chase sequences, action sequences and fight sequences that are amazing. Robert John Burke who was great in Speak and even as Robocop in Robocop 3 (Sorry not Sorry) also did a great job as a dirty cop. Overall lots of insane stuff in a kind of Bodyguard action movie that isn't as bad as critics made it sound like. (A+)

Another Jason Statham movie of where he fights a bunch of bad guys, but that's not the only thing that impressed me. The most of the idea that impressed me is that every authority in New York city is looking for a 12 year old girl, and out of everyone,Jason's the only out of nowhere person that doesn't even know her,but is still willing to protect her from literally everybody. Safe is not the first movie i have seen of where Jason protects a child(Homefront is),but it still warms my heart that he loves to protect kids from danger with all of his strength and skills with much as he has. Another good piece of work for Jason Statham and his movies that I hope never go to waste

Safe is one of the better recent Statham action films. He plays Luke Wright, a former cop who ratted out his dirty colleagues and then went on to become a MMA fighter but he knocks out an opponent and sends him to a coma and upsets a betting ring.In fact the Russian mafia kills his pregnant wife but leaves him alive to suffer. Down on his luck he is about to kill himself when he spots a young Chinese girl being pursued. This girl has a photographic memory when it comes to numbers. She has been brought from China by Chinese Triads and she has memorized a complex series of numbers but she has escaped.Wright rescues her but he has to deal with the Chinese and Russian gangsters as well as his ex colleagues from the force and figure out what these numbers mean and why does everyone find the girl valuable. The film in some ways has been inspired by the Denzel Washington film, Man on Fire. The plot is rather mindless and in some ways rather convenient but there is enough fun and action.

I was looking for a movie where a down and outer overcomes the bad guys. I had heard of the Statham movies, but never watched one where he was the lone star. I had seen The Expendables, which was action hero overload. This movie was free on Prime, so I said, why not. The story line was pretty straight forward, with multiple warring factions, and Statham in the middle, having a history with all of them. Of course, he has some expert military past that is alluded to. As the story develops, he attempts to rescue himself by rescuing this little Chinese girl, Mei. Of course, this means a lot of people get killed and he does most of the killing. Statham has a pretty good screen presence, pretty cool. This movie reminded me a little of the Charles Bronson Death Wish movies, except Statham is physically much more powerful. If you want to see good kick the stuffing out of evil, with not much plot, and some exciting fighting, this will suit you fine. I wish Amazon would make other Statham movies free for Prime too - there's a very small choice at this point.
