In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Quiet Muffin
This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

"Scrat in Love" is a 2-minute animated short film from 2009, the year when the third "Ice Age" film hit theaters. With this runtime, it may actually be the shortest of the very many Scrat short films, even Academy Award nominated among these. Maybe this short runtime is what makes me appreciate this film more than most of the others. I generally do not find Scrat a particularly interesting character and he gets fairly quickly repetitive in my opinion. However, here is something new: Scrat finds a girl and he has to make the difficult decision between her and his beloved food. And in the end, even after being a gentleman and jumping down to save her, he loses everything again. Poor little Scrat, but with girls like these I would probably be just like him and car for nothing but my beloved acorns. An entertaining 2 minutes. Thumbs up.
