Reviews

Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Stephanie There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
coolhandanna Although this film is short, it had me begging to watch even further into the life of a female boxer and the boxers around them. I, myself, being an amateur female boxer, could notice right off the bat that this movie had credibility, and that it wasn't just a movie looking for some exciting fighting shots. It is film that is meant to show you exactly what it takes and the dedication that these female boxers have to this sport. It was an honest film, showing the dangerous aspects but also a very touching film because it showed how powerful these women could be in this sport (especially touching to another boxer like myself). I fully went into this movie thinking it was gonna make boxing look just like a brutal, gladiator type of sport, and came out surprising happy. After watching this Lucia Rijker is now and always will be an inspiration to me.
tomasfc This documentary sheds light on the world of women's professional boxing. It shows some of the barriers the true professional women boxers face and documents in part the life of Lucia Rijker, who's been aptly dubbed "the most dangerous woman in the world." Very well shot, sometimes funny, and very gripping. A must for anybody who is interested in, or has an opinion about women's boxing.
rjbanks This exceptional film captivated me from the start and never let go. The skillfully scripted story line presents the viewer with contextual background on the sport of women's boxing, an exploration into the psyche of the participants, and a chronicle of Lucia Rijker's rise to the top of the sport. These elements combine with a fresh creative film style and stimulating original soundtrack to afford the viewer a truly visceral understanding of what women's boxing is all about. You'll either be inspired to get in the ring or swear its not for you. I particularly enjoyed the diverse and entertaining cast of characters who all contribute to a rich experience. This film is definitely interesting and insightful, but more than that, it is a lot of fun to watch.
