If you like to be scared, if you like to laugh, and if you like to learn a thing or two at the movies, this absolutely cannot be missed.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

The plot is quite absurd: Jewish NYPD cop Carol Shaya is assigned to pose as the new student at a Catholic girls' school in order to catch a nun rapist who is targeting that place. The absurd part is that Carol doesn't look nearly young enough for her role, but then again, neither do the rest of the "real" schoolgirls! But she is believably tough & sexy as a cop (before coming to IMDb, I had no idea she actually used to be one in real life), and has a pretty muscular body and a nice smile; essentially she is asked to carry the movie, and she does it. There is an over-the-top plot twist at the end which I admittedly did NOT see coming. I'd rate "Silent Prey" **1/2 out of 4 stars, but this rating is valid only for those who have similarly weird B-movie tastes. If you only watch mainstream movies, forget it.

So,I rented this movie with a bunch of guys because we thought it was going to be a movie with no plot and lots of nudity. Unfortunately it fulfills the lack of plot, but the nudity is nearly non-existent.Do not ever rent this movie. You will be sorry. There are lots of girls in skimpy clothes, but you can see more skin and better written scripts on the street.

Let me just say...me and my friends had so much fun watching this movie. Do not confuse it with anything you may find in the adult section of the video store. However the only purpose of the entire movie is to show off the finer qualities of the female lead. And those finer qualities don't include acting. We tore the movie apart. It was so much fun. It's the kind of movie you should rent with friends if you have a "Free Rental" coupon laying around. Take it lightly, don't expect much, and tear the movie apart (which is so easy).

This straight to video flick is a showcase for ex-NYPD cop and Levantine lovely Carol Shaya. This flick was heavily promoted on the Howard Stern show on the basis of a seduction scene involving Shaya and female character, but there is NO such scene in the film.
