BroadcastChic Excellent, a Must See

ChanFamous I wanted to like it more than I actually did... But much of the humor totally escaped me and I walked out only mildly impressed.

Mischa Redfern I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Aneesa Wardle The story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.

Leofwine_draca The production company that flashes up on screen at the opening of this movie - Christian Cinema - is a dead giveaway for what is to follow. SIX: THE MARK UNLEASHED is nothing more than a heavy-handed Christian propaganda movie in which the teachings of Christ are portrayed as a way forward to a peaceful and tolerant society while everybody else is going to Hell.To be fair, the film does start out as a fairly ordinary sci-fi thriller, set in a dystopian world with the usual governmental oppression. When the action shifts to a prison with the introduction of Stephen Baldwin's bespectacled preacher, however, things get REALLY preachy. And I mean REALLY. The Bible is shoved down the viewer's throat at every opportunity, everyone is converted, even the expected atheist guy comes to see the error of his ways come the end. The writers here definitely haven't heard of subtlety, making this a movie that will be completely off-putting to all but Christian audiences.There are a few familiar faces propping up this propaganda flick, not least Baldwin himself in an extensive cameo (and always on autopilot). Eric Roberts provides a brief, blink-and-you'll-miss-him appearance (at least he has the sense not to appear for longer) while Jeffrey Dean Morgan (WATCHMEN) is the erstwhile hero.

mike-ryan455 I saw Six The Mark Unleashed tonight. It wasn't too bad. It was too preachy and it had some places where it didn't follow logically but hey, for an ultra-low budget movie I've seen a LOT worse. It's definitely WAY above Asylum grade.I am a Christian and I very much support independent Christian cinema. I am also a Sci Fi nut. I enjoyed an attempt to merge the two.Did it succeed? Not exactly, but then it didn't really fail either. I think a higher budget would really have helped. There really weren't any special effects. Just a bit of cool CGI stuff would have helped with the suspension of disbelief. They also were too heavy handed with the scriptures and it was disappointing that they didn't have any good people except Born Again Protestants. They didn't have any Catholics, Jews, Muslims, etc.

cabras Quoting a shirt from "OBEY", I have to say only this: "Propaganda Engineering" At its finest. Let me explain: I could not stop watching the movie. I was amazed at what I was seeing, though I was lucky enough to not have paid for it. And it was strewn with network commercials (most of which were military and support the injured troops - to which I agree supporting them, just pointing out the movie/commercialism link.) I am not bashing it, I just had a hard time believing that this was actually made as a movie and not a mockumentary. Oh well. Different strokes for different folks.Enjoy it with a grain of salt, or a bottle of wine...Oh, and you will have to love the "non-violent" killing of people combined with bad acting. JERRYLKELLEY7 Although many will try to tear this movie down, most of those may be doing it just because it is a Christian Movie. I felt it was done well and probably one of the better end times movies. Like to see more like this. I gave the rating I did, not because it is a Christian movie. That was the reason I was first interested, but it also was done with better expertise than some movies of the same type. I particularly like the character of Luke, showed a great power but never overly used it and because of that he seemed to drive the other characters nuts trying to figure him out. The character of Jeseca reminded me a lot of the actress Jessica Steen in Apocalypse IV: Judgment. All in all a very enjoyable movie.
