ChikPapa Very disappointed :(
Usamah Harvey The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
Kirandeep Yoder The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
Winifred The movie is made so realistic it has a lot of that WoW feeling at the right moments and never tooo over the top. the suspense is done so well and the emotion is felt. Very well put together with the music and all.
MKA There's nothing more to say about this movie than the title of my review.I don't know how could have come in my mind to buy that DVD...After 15-20' it was clear it was a copy of that (fantastic!) X-Files episode (Monday - season 6 episode 14), and I'm surprised to read that no one of the other reviews has reported this...I was going to stop the DVD after 20-25'... Then I wanted to watch all the movie to see if there was something better...Useless to say, there wasn't...Don't watch it... In case watch the original one: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0751163/Just to say, the movie begins after a long, boring and senseless opening title I personally jumped...
davids-81 I was tempted to give this movie a one out of ten, but it did at least have a few original ideas, so I gave it a two. It was just truly awful, a complete waste of time.I watched this move with my wife, and she was bored before the end of the opening credits. I have a bit more patience than that, but by the time you're 2/3 of the way into the movie, you just can't wait for it to end. It's not that you're wondering how it's going to end, because that is painfully obvious after 20 minutes, it's that you want the suffering to end. There is *no* suspense. The plot is entirely predictable. There are a lot of cool effects. Or at least, there are a lot of effects that would have been cool had they been used in a way that served the plot. But they just don't.There are long stretches in the movie where it's obvious that time is just being wasted. One scene spins interminably as we see different characters all shooting at nothing in particular. *Nobody* gets hit by any of these bullets despite the fact that they're all in the same room and have clear lines of fire. It's nauseating and nonsensical. This scene bears no relationship to the plot at all, apparently, they just wanted to show us that they could make a camera spin.I could give more examples, but there's no point. Just don't watch the movie and save yourself two hours of your life.
The_Bobinator While this may make me vulnerable to an immense deal of hate e-mail, I actually enjoyed Slipstream. I think the main reason people don't like this movie is because it's so different from other movies that nobody understands it. Of course, the meanings of the dialogue is probably lost in translation to other languages, which probably explains the amount of international bad reviews, but also, the mere amount of mind-boggling ideas in the movie probably wrote the average viewers right off. The slow startup of the movie deterred the impatient viewers. That's somewhere between one-third and one-half of the viewers right there. For the rest of us, though, who can actually stand through the mind mashers and the snore moments, this movie is actually solid. As for the storyline, you just need to wait for a little while. It'll show up.
SlapJackJay OK sorry GU but I don't mean to eat a dead horse or any thing hear because e IMO sure you've all ready my comments already but heres the thing.I still don';t buy it. How did he get the clothes from the pullet and I know it said that sometimes your always take back int IMO the th INS your touching but why wouldn't he take back the poi-lets clothes with him? Im not even really sure what to think so I wintry to see this movie again yesterday also and It didn't end the same but it was still the smear movie you know? I am getting kind of tired of this from Froddop Baggins. OK cause I really expected a better effort from this movie OK Sand this time I think hes gone one notch too far from for froddo baggins. Is there anyway anyone could send me a copy of the movie because I hear in the special featueretes they explain a lot of it with a plot twist,.Okease OK!
