NekoHomey Purely Joyful Movie!
Catangro After playing with our expectations, this turns out to be a very different sort of film.
Helllins It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
Guillelmina The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.
TBJCSKCNRRQTreviews This is the feature-length documentary on the 3-Disc Collector's Edition DVD of Spaced, and it is a retrospective look at it. It consists of interviews, clips(of other work, as well... we see and hear about what these people(including the cameos that weren't of crew) did before appearing in this, and what they've since become known for, etc.), behind the scenes footage and a continuing trip with Wright, Pegg and Stevenson where they visit as many of the locations from the show as they can and talk memories. They talk about the characters(their origins, the types they were going for, the inspiration for the performances), the cast(several of them knew each other, and that really helped), the style(all the references and pastiches, and the leads/writers all shared a love of that) and why a third season or movie hasn't happened. This is purely for the fans, and if you are one, it is like meeting old friends and talking with them about what they've been up to since you last saw them(this was made about three years after the second season aired). The running time is 81 minutes. There is disturbing content, bloody violence and strong language in this. I recommend this to those who love the series. 7/10
flumping-jumpers I recently bought the DVD of the series after hearing about it on TV and instantly became a fan. With humorous contributions from cast and crew members, 'revisits' to sets with Simon Pegg, Jessica Stevenson and Edgar Wright and some of the best clips from series 1 and 2 this is a definite must for any fan of Spaced. It kept me laughing all the way through almost as much as the series itself and still managed to top itself with a really sweet ending that would almost substitute for a third series. Even if you already own the 1st and 2nd series DVD's, buying the collectors edition is well worth it just for this brilliant 'extra'.
navylicious This retrospective of the cast and crew of Spaced is, of course, like any other documentary of it's kind, but it's also kind of like checking up on old pals and what they're doing now.It includes some scenes and sketches featuring the players before they were spaced, as well as discussions on what would happen on a 3rd series and why it hasn't happened. Overall, it's quite enjoyable, but only if you're really into the show. If not, you'd probably find it as enjoyable as being a Star Wars fan at a Star Trek convention. There are quite a few amusing scenes, however of outtakes and various other 'extented scenes' that were cut (for time or content, it's unknown), and is almost worth watching for these moments alone. So if you've got 2 hours and have seen the series, this is a great way to see it from a different perspective. If you're not a fan or haven't seen the series, I'd recommend starting from square one with series 1, episode 1.
