A Major Disappointment

Just intense enough to provide a much-needed diversion, just lightweight enough to make you forget about it soon after it’s over. It’s not exactly “good,” per se, but it does what it sets out to do in terms of putting us on edge, which makes it … successful?

Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.

BadA piece of art is either Good or Bad. A Yes, you would recommend it to others or a No, don't waste your time

It is one of the best movies of this year and may be of last 10 years. Good plot, logical actions, beautiful graphics and landscapes. The story-line is connected with all past movies and background without glitches, story problems, logical and technical issues which are present in all modern movies such as Transformers, Pirates of Caribbean et cetera. My opinion that the new Starship Troopers is a leader of computer animated movies and one of the many proves that Japanese animators can make masterpieces without advertisement and without annoying hypes.

Starship Troopers Traitor of Mars 2017 Powersuits are closer to as described in the Original Novel Starship Troopers 1959, as the Bounce (Bounding) capability, tactical nuclear missile launchers, and other capabilities as envisioned by the creator of Starship Troopers, except that Starship Troopers actually freefalled from low orbit to a Planets surface.Only briefly mentioned was the Militaristic Government in the Book, that would later be emphasized by Anti Military Anti War Activist Uwe Boll's Starship Troopers 1997 Movie, that also had the Starship Troopers at a significant disadvantage as nearly hopeless without common Powersuits that were created before the Earth encountered the Bugs (Earth first encountered the tall skinny humanoids as Allies of the Bugs).Uwe Boll's Anti Military Anti War influence would be seen in almost all of the Starship Trooper Movies. While the Book Starship Troopers concentrated more on what was needed to be "Franchised" as a Citizen, Citizen's Duties aka Civic Duties, as during this time most Nations still had Mandatory Compulsory Military Service as anybody upon reaching age 18 must spend 2 years in their Nation's Military as a Citizen's Duty, as Earned Citizenship not something given based on accident of location of Birth.Examples, it was tradition for the British Royals especially Males of the Royal Family of The Great British Empire, Great Britain, today's United Kingdom to join the British Military to set the example for the British Commoners (British Citizens) to join the British Military as a British Citizen's Duty. Those British Commoners of the British Military that distinguished themselves would receive more British Citizen's Rights, Benefits, and Entitlements along with a Title like Knight (KG, KT, GCB, KCB, GCMG, KCMG, GCVO, KCVO, GBE, KBE and others that gave those that earned these Titles Rights and Privileges, and usually a Monetary award for life), This was also true for most of the Modern Western European Nations (including Uwe Boll's Nation of the Federal Republic of West Germany as 2 Years of Mandatory Military Compulsory Service). While a U.S. Military Officer Serving with the British Military, I had a British Officer explain to me what those abbreviations after their last names meant (there are more than what I listed). When I was a U.S. Military Officer attached to the Deutsches Bundeswehr (German Military) a German Officer explained how the German Mandatory Compulsory Military Service worked while most German Citizens felt guilty after the Militarized Government of Germany during World War 2, same as Japanese Citizens.

Serious funding was spent on the CG and the storytelling, only to be ruined by third-rate dialog. Would have been an asset to Starship Trooper if they had invested in better scriptwriters. I realize the cost restraints and the enormous effort in the creative department and voice actors. But to neglect in spending in a decent dialog writer is just a shame....
