sleeping_gorilla This is a psychological-caper movie that is hard to pull off. The best example of this genre I can think of is The Usual Suspects. The worst example would be Wild Things.The movie succeeds in the casting of Dina Meyer, she looks great, and even has an impressive musical performance in the beginning. Both the female leads are good, while the men are fine but interchangeable. Also the movie was pretty funny till the last 30 minutes.It fails in not setting a consistent tone. Most of the story comes off as an over the top dark comedy told during a conversation between two men waiting for a plane. The last part of it turns very serious, by then it was obvious to me what was going on and I wanted the movie to be done with.This movie is very similar to Wild Things. If you liked the frequent and extreme plot twists from that movie then I would recommend it. I found this much more entertaining.

merklekranz The first two thirds of "Stranger Than Fiction" is one movie, and the last third seems like an entirely different film. The first part I believe is intended as black comedy, but fails to impress. The reason the dark comedy doesn't work is the four main characters are all unlikeable. In addition, the acting is sub par, with many lines being delivered so fast that comprehension is impossible. The last third is very contrived and all believability flies out the window, with the viewer left holding the bag. This is nothing more than an over stylized, failed black comedy. I recommend watching " A Simple Plan", if you want to see a good dark comedy wrapped around friendship and murder. Skip this one for sure. - MERK

hardbreaker The story is entertaining although the movie is not very strong. Probably due to lack of experience it misses something. Strong acting for one thing. But the thing that bothered me the most is that they didn't try to make an ongoing story of it. Some things aren't explained in the movie itself but by a narrator who has to tie some loose ends together in the end to finish the story That is what i think is very cheap and non professional.This movie gave me the impression that they had a four hour television series and tried to cut into 100 minutes to make a movie out of it. They failed!But after all these negative things it is time to name some good sides. The twists are very nice and also the reaction of the different characters when they get deeper in deeper in the sh*t. And it is not some standard Hollywood action movie you have seen millions of times before.rating: 3 out of 5

chris_basha This movie is definitely one of my favorites it's a twisted movie with awesome plot and alot of crazy and messed up people. So i recommended this movie if you like good thriller movies and if you like twisted movies. Bottom line : This is an awesome movie with a good plot and awesome ending.
