This is a decent if unexceptional entry in Lantz' Swing Symphony series. Homer and Daisy Pigeon are on their way to a ban dance and the rural gags are well handled, even if the music is not as good as in other episodes. The major themes are derived from "Reuben, Reuben," "The Old Grey Mare" and the almost inevitable "Turkey in the Straw" and are well orchestrated and performed. Most of the voices are performed by Kent Rogers, whom I recall mostly as Beaky Buzzard for Looney Tunes. This was one of Rogers' last film projects. He died soon afterwards in Florida in an aircraft training exercise.
