Diagonaldi Very well executed
Mjeteconer Just perfect...
Kirandeep Yoder The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
dougxxxx Good grief this was a slow movie and found myself having a hard time staying awake. After awhile I found myself walking to the kitchen and walking outside and flipping my steaks on the grill without pausing it..
Chris Emerson While the directing and story may not be triple A quality ... the scenery and acting by the core cast of characters would have made this a 8 or 9 out of 10 for me. However ... the lame kid character ruined the movie. I tried to get past it but just couldn't (my patience wore out ~35 minute mark). So sad because (quality) westerns are so rare these days. Oh well.
adonis98-743-186503 A thrilling and action-packed Western, The Ballad of Lefty Brown is a story about loyalty, friendship, and the relentless pursuit of justice. The Ballad of Lefty Brown is a film that i knew little about and i wasn't that excited to see it but after just finishing it i gotta say this was one hell of a western with an excellent cast, a great story, terrific cinematography and some great dramatic moments. The relationship between Lefty, Jeremiah and Tom was handled great plus there wasn't even a second that i felt bored or anything this was an excellent filmed, well shot and well made film that i believe if you give it a fair shot will suprise the hell out of you. (A+)
Adler-99 Lefty Brown is that kid on the playground that no one picks to be on their ball team, but who ends up saving the game. He's hesitant, clumsy, and not very bright. He makes a lot of noise trying to sneak up on anyone, failing miserably at any kind of stealth. But he's kind, doggedly determined, and the one you want on your team after all.Bill Pullman's Lefty is a wonderful contrast to Jim Caviezel's steely-eyed Governor Bierce, who is cold, calculating, and cruel. Tommy Flanagan and Kathy Baker also carry the film in wonderful style.I love Westerns in general but cringe through many of them because of ridiculous cosmetic unreality. In "The Ballad of Lefty Brown," everyone wears shades of, well, drab. And that's realistic for 1889; regular folks didn't have the money for fancy, brightly-colored clothing, and even if somehow they did, they certainly didn't wear it as everyday or work clothes. With few exceptions, the characters are dirty and dusty. Their hair is a mess. The men need a shave. And it all works.
