To me, this movie is perfection.

Good concept, poorly executed.

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

The book of Henry is a rather strange film. I don't hate neither do I like it either. This movie really does not know what it wants to be. At someparts it seems like a normal average coming of age film than it goes right into action film. The writing is not really that good there are a lot of plot holes and such. I do really like some parts in the movie though. Since I don't want to give out any spoilers I won't give out much detail. The book of Henry was meh movie for me.

I'm going against the norm here, but I loved this movie. Both of the brothers are portrayed by amazing child actors. Since I knew going in that it wasn't supposed to be a light-hearted family film, I wasn't surprised by the revelation of what's going on next door. Heartbreaking at times, lots of funny moments, definitely frustration regarding the situation, and I adored Sarah Silverman's character. Henry definitely knew everything about his mother, something that makes the second half of the movie that much better.

Having gone into this film per my girlfriend's request and without watching the trailer, I was positively delighted. I was prepared for another Gifted, or some sort of touching film about a boy growing up too fast because of his genius. The Book of Henry is not at all like I anticipated and has is full of surprises. This film made me genuinely sad, stressed, and excited. An unexpected treat!

I won't spoil or reveal nothing. The movie is definitely well done, moving step by step to the heart of a BIG issue of our days. The texture is perfectly mixed and the waves take you to the end. I appreciated. Suggested to all audiences.
