I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.

Yes, the soundtrack plays a HUGE part in this film, but I still believe the storyline and cast are just as important. The idea of moving abroad has always appealed to me, and what better place to venture than the 'Costa del Crime' ha ha! Charlie's Bar, here I come! But in all seriousness, I found the plot and filming locations very believable. I'm sure there were (perhaps still?) lots of back handers to keep the locals happy. Danny Dyer is tarnished with this rough, ready and sometimes mediocre actor, but he plays his part excellent in this film. It's just a shame that his working relationship with Tamir continued as their other films could not compete with this.Anyway, can't stay around too long to write, "the Dutch are here...".

This has to be one of my favourite films ever, Danny gorgeous Dyer and his good friend Tamear hussain team up in Nick loves brilliantly filmed the business, love the eighties any way and it was my era but the music the clothes and the cars in the film bring the memories flooding back of carefree happy days, Just like the film ,great direction and superbly acted through out this film is the best! superb casting for the characters who are all portrayed to an high standard, plenty of nutters in the film which always helps some great lines and action seated with humour and true reality of drugs and the vapours given from them.Would recommend any body to buy this film and would also defy them not to like it.

After watching this film for the first time (and it's been about10 or 11 times now) I became such a sucker for Danny Dyer! The bloke is amazing! He has such a presence in this film that I have become devoted to seeing every movie of his from now on (some not so good). This film is so class that I watched it twice in a row once. Never a dull moment and so many one-liners you'll have yourself in stitches! The cast consists of most of the Brit flick regulars including Danny, Dyer, Geoff Bell, Tamer Hassan and Roland Manookian (in a small but memorable role) - so you won't be disappointed! Defintitely worth a watch (or two or three)!! There is always a movie in an actor's career that generates a new-found respect for them... This is the one for Danny!

"The Business" is basically your run of the mill "from rags to riches and back to the gutter"-gangster-story, that's been delivered to you since the 30's. The plot even has the femme fatal, which is desired by the hero, but "belongs" to his nemesis. The drug-trafficking, partying and cocaine sniffing is shown here in a realistic way, which isn't something one should take for granted. Memorable is a disturbing image of a head on a stake, which comes quiet surprising and shocking. All 4 lead actors (and even some of the others) deliver 100% and are great to watch. Geoff Bell in particular gives a real terrifying performance. What a great face!He could be a James Bond from hell. But as i said, they're all worth the time watching this. The general plot is very weak, though, and the ending is rather disappointing. The final clash between the hero and his tormentor under a sewer is rather ridiculous and gives the impression of being created in lack of better ideas. The payoff is very weak. If you can live with that, "The Business" is great fun, but not a good movie.
