Senteur As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
robert-macc A "bro"-saying Hispanic classic. Adrienne Bailon plays Chanel, a sweet, ghetto Latina who desires to be famous. She's a very sweet girl as well, like most Nuyorican girls I know, I'm Nuyorican. Sabrina Bryan is also talented as well, and who can forget Raven Simone. But I love Adrianne Bailon the most. That's besides the point. Yeah the story is a bit cheesy, but this one was a good one, and I wouldn't be surprised if it won some awards. Much better than "High School Musical," it is cute and touching. A story of loyalty and friendship. It's a nice Hispanic movie. For all you guys who want a nice movie with hot girls, see this one, you won't be let down :D
**Mate ** Alright, now that everyone has bashed the movie, and mentioned some of the negative points, I'm going to write a review based on all the positive aspects of this movie. So, pretty much all the users have already summed up what this movie is mainly focused on - 4 teenage girls, living an ordinary life, who want to achieve their goal of becoming a well-known pop group. Then mixed with some dramatic scenes, romantic scenes, and also some family love shown.Firstly, I believe the introduction to this movie is a very good way to start the film off with - 4 best-friends chilling outside, dancing, and having a good time in general. What's so bad about that? The characters grow on me as well. They're portraying how teenagers are, and I must say the portrayals are spot on - well, majority of the times. Galleria - strict on what she wants to accomplish, is straight-forward, and doesn't think before what she says...it's not until the very end where she realizes all her mistakes, and that she truly needs her friends back. Chanel - is Galleria's "home-girl" in the movie. She's a pretty rich gal, but can get lonely at times as her mom is rarely at home. Dorinda - a girl who lives for dancing, which is the only thing that really keeps her going when times get rough, besides her friends. We slowly find out, that she lives in a foster home, to which her friends don't find out until later into the movie. Aqua - this girl's main passion is for fashion! She's the diva type of the group, the "glamorized" one, who can get pretty nasty as well when drama comes into action. I feel like the film also displayed the relationships between the teens, and their families, to a great extent. I mean, you don't really get those moments anymore in Disney films.Overall, this movie, in a way, can be viewed negatively, and/or positively. It's all based on personal preference. I like to give all movies a chance, and see good in them, especially Disney movies. However, now-a-days, the films in Disney are becoming more unrealistic, and the moral of the story-lines...they're just out of tune. Back in the day, the Cheetah Girls were all kids/teens mostly talked about, it was the "it" movie that everyone had to watch. Moral of the overall film in my opinion is: In order to reach your goal, you must put all your effort into it, even though you know you'll fall down at times. However, the ability to stitch all the rough patches together, and learn from all your mistakes; you'll have the strength to rise back up to the top, and aim for your one ultimate goal.
m-culwell This was one of the best movies i have ever seen. It gives teens like me who want to go in to the music bisnuess that we can do it. The cheetah girls are some of my biggest role models. So i don't like all the bad things people are saying about it. All the teens and even younger kids need to know that they can reach their dreams if they try hard enough. So for all of y'all (yes i am from Texas) who don't like it watch it again and think of all the little kids who watched it and wanted to be like one of the cheethas. And while you do watch think about your kids, nieses, nephews, and grandchildren who want to be like the cheetahs and. Then see if you think it is as stupid as most people think and say it is.
cheljsea I totally understood this movie! It was awesome! I just think that Galleria was acting kind of childish because she walked out on her friends because Jackal Johnson didn't use their music. But like when Toto fell into the hole, that brought the Cheetahs back together. I haven't seen the second one yet so I can't comment on that one right now!But anyway, I haven't seen the movie for over two months and I remember every part of it! My favorite parts were: the part where they all join back together in the end and when they performed "Cinderella" and Galleria's dog ran up and started dancing with the Cheetahs. I loved Toto, he was so cute! I also loved the outfits they wore. Also when, in the beginning, the Girls singing "Together We Can"! The dances were really good until-well you will have to watch to find out what happened!!The parts I didn't like were when Galleria gave a few sheets of paper to Doe with th outfits with it or when she took Aqua's hot sauce away from her! =( Also I didn't like that Galleria was so controlling!!! Uhh, it was so annoying! I also thought that Jackal was sometimes kind of rude! But other than that I loved the movie! I like the Cheetahs in this order, Channel 30%, Doe 30%, Aqua 30%, and Galleria 10%. I really hope this gets posted. I worked so hard on it! I recommend this movie 100% awesome!
