2hotFeature one of my absolute favorites!
SincereFinest disgusting, overrated, pointless
Lancoor A very feeble attempt at affirmatie action
filippaberry84 I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
sheldondesousa Expected so much from the Bruce Willis / Sigourney Weaver camp but the movie failed to deliver. Henry Cavill was lead. Yet his co-star half-sister seemed to be more man at getting stuff done. Cavill just got beat up every other 10mins.Henry Cavill shows us why he wears the red underwear, just wish they make it more frilly and lace in his next sequel coz that's what he portrays throughout the film. I hate car chases when they seem inconsistent and poorly done and this movie didn't come close. Henry Cavill appeared to be a newbie behind the wheel of a BMW which seemed to weave at just about every corner while Sigourney Weaver in a Range Rover appeared calm as if the SUV was on rails. So much for German engineering. Maybe he should stick to flying.Overall not a memorable film. I could warn friends and family not to waste their time but why should I be the only one to endure the misery.
Trafe Totally underrated at 4.9. Action from start to finish. Story line not dumbed down. And even the acting is okay. Is this in the action genre? I'm not sure what people are looking for anymore. I mean if Speed back in 1994 can have a rating of 7.2, a hijacked bus which keeps speeding around the whole movie coupled with mediocre acting... You get my point. If you want spy drama, and underdog, an action thriller, well worth a watch.
Sherazade it's not as bad as reviewers make it out to be (trust me I've seen worse films with bigger budgets and cast mates than this) but I will say this, the advertisement for this film is quite misleading. Bruce Willis is hardly in the film and the rest of the story pays a heavy price for that. That said, going in I thought Will Shaw (Henry Cavill) would be the one attracting the evil eye towards his family during their vacation in Spain but was pleasantly surprised to find that it was actually his father Marty Shaw (Bruce Willis) and his secret life that ultimately puts the family in harm's way. The directing was a bit off and this showed on every character including veterans actors like Sigourney Weaver and Bruce Willis. The script was solid but could have been executed better.
juneebuggy I tried to give this the benefit of the doubt despite the bad reviews but still lost interest pretty quickly. It's not that it's that terrible its just not all that interesting. The plot is your standard (generic) who can I trust, spy thriller, that you've seen a hundred times before. The Spanish location is refreshing and pretty as is Henry Cavill -pretty that is, but he's not a great actor and struggles through this leading role wearing some really bad clothes (I have to add.) Bruce Willis is given top billing but is barely in the movie and just seems to smirk his way through his scenes, I'm not even sure he's acting? And then we have Sigourney Weaver who kicks ass but I've seen her play this exact role before (Abduction) and she doesn't do a great job here either. On the plus side there's some great car chases and lots of action through the streets (and steps) of Madrid. 6/7/14
