i barely speak Italian-only level 1 or 2 at best, plus a little slang, and didn't have subtitles when i watched this film. i found it incredibly easy to understand and laugh-out-loud funny. Films very rarely make me laugh out loud, but i had a huge smile on my face and frequently laughed throughout this film. it's mostly more adult humor, with sexual jokes and gestures, though nowhere near as filthy as American sex comedies like American pie. The love story is a bit cheesy, with the leading lady Catalina always wearing shirts that revealed her cleavage and shorts that.. well, revealed her cleavage. however, there's enough comedy to distract you-from the morbid, artistic brother, to the lesbian sister, to the father who becomes a stoner. great film, recommend to everyone.i'd give it a 10, but i never give out 10s.

Ahh yes...a very sweet love story set in the most beautiful sleepy town in Italy.The cast are wonderful to watch as they go about there trouble free life's.An innocent kind of love comes through in this film.....don't expect Hollywood to produce such pure pleasure....they still don't get it!It's great to see fresh natural beauty especially in the most beautiful Lorena Forteza...she comes across in a way that everyone can relate to.For a light hearted comedy with a twist of innocents,you cant go past this one.Enjoy

When I saw this movie I wasn't prepared for such a treat. I thought it was kind of O.K, but I truly enjoyed it! The characters are charming and funny. The feel of the movie is that of "real life". Plus you get a glimpse of the breathtaking Italian countryside.

Thus movie is a very light romantic comedy, that has a good story. It transports you to that little town and even helps you relate with every character in the movie. I just loved it. It also shows how even a small thing ( the broken sign) can affect the lives of so many people. US movies don't take risks and are very shallow
