Synopsis

When a renegade band of young filmmakers break into an abandoned hospital to make their horror epic, they stumble upon a real dead body and decide to use it in their movie. They accidentally bring it back to life, open a portal to a dead world that releases dozens of other zombies, then struggle for their lives in a desperate attempt to flee from the creatures who apparently have them hopelessly trapped in the hospital.

MamaGravity good back-story, and good acting
Siflutter It's easily one of the freshest, sharpest and most enjoyable films of this year.
Skyler Great movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
Darin One of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
Boba_Fett1138 This is a pretty lame, poorly written B-horror movie, that remains stuck somewhere between an homage to- and more comical approach of horror movies of the '70's and '80's (The Romero, Argento and Fulci type of horror flicks) and a serious attempt of making a good, gory horror flick. Lots of these types of movie got and still gets made, rarely ever with a good result. This is unfortunately one of those bad movies. It takes forever for things to start off in those movie (most likely because of its low budget) and the written and dialog is just plain bad. Of course also the actors in this movie really aren't among the finest. When things finally start off, continuity and the character behavior becomes really bad and unbelievable, which also at times makes this an hard and also definitely unpleasant movie to follow. It also makes the intended comedy in this movie work out all the more lame.Sad thing is that the movie tries to put in many scare effects but the timing and just overall execution of it is so terrible that it often becomes more laughable than anything else really. It gives the movie also really an amateurish feeling in parts.Of course the movie is predictable in basically every regard. The movie just simply doesn't bother to put in any creativity or originality. On a positive note; despite it's low budget the movie is still a good looking one, with a good visual style and also some decent make-up. Too bad that it didn't got used for a better movie. There is also some gore pleasant but somehow it doesn't know to entertain or shock as much as its look allowed it to be. It just doesn't work out, just as rarely anything really works out well enough in this movie.Really not much good.4/10http://bobafett1138.blogspot.com/
badgrrlkane I mean TDHTL is not by no means a great horror film.It is what it is.A low-grade B-movie but it has it's moments of being a cool horror film even w/h it's name-dropping. And it's thankfully a short film though i would like to seen a sequel to see what happens to the 2 main characters after they enter the land Of the Dead. i mean i 've seen way worse horror films, watch death tunnel & you'll think this one is a gem.Good directing from Dave Parker & i actually liked the storyline though the acting was a bit lame. Reminded me at times of low-grade 80's horror but all in all it's what i expected.I think these bad reviews are from people expecting B-horror to be good horror & films such as this one,Boo,nIGHT oF THE Demons etc are not really meant to be good. They appeal to a lovers of B- grade horror films. And w/h this being a horror comedy it's meant to be cheesy. For those who are trying to say it should've been serious well stick w/h more mainstream or actual scary HORROR FILMS.IDO WHEN I WANT TO SEE THAT TYPE OF MOVIE. But when you watch a B-movie you know is a horror comedy don't compare Dead Alive,Evil dead & all the classics as that's not what these movies are even trying to become. I liked this & would recommend it to true fans of silly Horror comedy. And if you hated this stay away from the Sleepaway Camp trilogy.** out of *****
Max Kämmerer So, The Dead Hate the Living, eh? Like I said, the movie is a collection of very nice and very terrible scenes.SPOILERS START For example, the best actor was, in my opinion, Matt Stephens, who played Eibon. Therefore his scenes were the greatest in the movie: e.g. The scene where he discovers his wife has died of cancer and begins to study the dead.Tremendously terrible movie situations are watching a big, scuffling zombie walking down a corridor, mumbling: "I kill you." or Eric Clawson, whom I consider to be the worst actor of this piece, saying completely enthusiastically about the death of his friend and co-worker: "Leave him, he's dead." As if someone had spilt some yoghurt on the floor.SPOILERS END 6/10, not more, not less.
gregogard27 I bought this because the back mentioned Argento-esque thriller. It definitely has tons of obscure horror references which I enjoyed, only got a few of them though. It was just cool to see a true horror fan make a fun movie like this. Sure they have really bad "Cinemax After Dark" special effects, and veryminimal gore, but it is just really fun. The dialogue rings true, at least in my world and made the characters totally believable. I would recommend at leastrenting it.
