GamerTab That was an excellent one.
Asad Almond A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.
Roxie The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
lexie88 However, something was missing. And I just love romantic comedies! I might be wrong, but I think what was lacking was genuine emotion, and chemistry between the couples who were supposed to end up together - it is clear from the start who will end up with whom, but I just couldn't really feel it between them. It felt a bit fake and forced upon them. Overall, it is a cute little film, relaxing and in the end, it makes you feel good. I definitely encourage you to give it a chance, it is a good pastime for a lazy evening. :)
Gordon-11 This film tells the story of a famous Hollywood actress going to a remote Scottish island to get married, in order to avoid the omnipresent press. Her agent finds a decoy bride to deflect attention, but the guy ends up marrying the decoy by mistake.It's a predictable romantic comedy, but it's really sweet. How the two leads jab at each other initially is also fun to watch. And the scenery of Hegg, which probably very few people have heard of, is beautiful. It captures the tranquility of the place, but unfortunately the portrayal of the locals isn't so nice. They are portrayed to be money grabbing opportunists. Overall, "The Decoy Bride" is a fun and light hearted film to watch. I enjoyed it.
loveagoodstory One of the most papp'd film actresses in the world has another try at a private and personal wedding day by holding it in secret, on the remote Scottish island of Hegg. That's how this genuinely pleasurable and nicely balanced comedy begins.The story is lively and funny without ever becoming daft or, the traditional worse mistake, 'madcap'. It twists, turns and sails through to the end without the standard or predictable rom-com notes chiming in. Kelly McDonald is brilliant balanced and David Tennant and Alice Eve steer nicely through superb without ever getting excessive. A well-written comedy done well - well worth the time.
Freya Lawrence A writer (David Tennant) is set to marry a renowned actress (Alice Eve), but the press crash the wedding. You then follow the couple on the adventure to try to marry, going through many problems.This film, I felt was a brilliant feel good film that kept you interested and was incredibly well cast. David Tennant played his part fantastically, although so did everyone else. All the characters are needed to complete this film, they put a very funny edge to it and keep you laughing and keeps you on the sofa to continue watching. The story line was obvious, but was pulled of well and if the ending ended differently you would have been left annoyed and disliking the film. You do feel it goes all a bit too quick, and things are sudden and left out but it's obvious what was intended and how is easy to understand aside all of that. I would recommend it for teenage sleepovers, but also for anyone who wants something funny with romance in. If you love Notting Hill, you will also love this.
