He left nine years later and John Foster, now Terry's story director, had taken over. Although over a dozen years the series had ranged for from Aesop, each one had ended with a title card that noted that "2600 Years ago, Aesop said..." with some silly, Chinese-fortune-cookie aphorism.The first two of the revived series maintained the same format, and the stories for both were actually derived from Aesop. This one is a fairly straightforward version of the fable, with the gags spaced out to avoid drawing attention from the story.The duck looks like Gandy Goose in a red fright wig. I suppose that was simpler and cheaper than making up a new model sheet.
