Mischa Redfern I didn’t really have many expectations going into the movie (good or bad), but I actually really enjoyed it. I really liked the characters and the banter between them.
Bessie Smyth Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
Marva-nova Amazing worth wacthing. So good. Biased but well made with many good points.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
caecc I watched a few months ago for the third time, and I simply still loving it, I remember how surprised I was the first time I saw the big reveal at the end.
wes-connors Frowzy, pill-popping photographer Sonya Walger (as Kate) reveals some startling news. She has an identical twin sister, living in Buffalo. The girls were separated at birth, as part of a research project. Arriving on the scene looking chicer and sexier, "Linda" (also played by Sonya Walger) wants to meet her twin and begin a familial relationship. After they meet, "Kate" says she gets a bad feeling from "Linda" and decides she wants nothing more to do with the woman. But "Linda" won't give up. She contacts her sister's handsome defense attorney husband Ben Bass (as Jack McLennan) and begs for a second chance...If you're guessing an identical twin of his wife, who attempts to look attractive, arouses Mr. Bass, you're on track. We learn frumpy wife "Kate" has issues with depression, also...The situation in "The Good Sister" eventually becomes too dumb to recommend it highly. However, it could knock your socks off if you're not expecting too much. It begins as an intriguing idea, written by Pablo F. Fenjves and directed by Philippe Gagnon. The latter works well with Walger and Bass, as we decipher their marriage unraveling. In reality, the marriage has already begun to unravel, and the co-stars are good at conveying this without obvious exposition. In capable hands, Mr. Fenjves' characters start out flawed and believable. Unfortunately, "The Good Sister" turns into a silly and predictable fantasy.****** The Good Sister (5/10/14) Philippe Gagnon ~ Sonya Walger, Ben Bass, Ashleigh Harrington, Lyriq Bent
jordan205 I really loved this movie. It has just about everything in it and it was believable. BEN BASS did an awesome job as the husband. His actions as the calm, controlled man and then the worried, stressed person who gets involved with the sister was seamless. I hope to see him in more movies. I watch him all the time in Rookie Blue and he is fantastic in that show. The woman who played his wife and her sister was good also. Lots of suspense and surprises made the movie also. This could be a real life situation too. Lots of women get depressed and act out things about their lives. A husband in this situation would also be tempted under the circumstances. Considering that her sister looked just like her but different was actually a compliment to her. Don't know why she wanted to create a situation where he husband strayed. Maybe it was her illness, insecurity or just meanness. Great movie!
ivegonemod I think this was another good movie that Lifetime aired. It wasn't too hard to figure out what was going on at a certain point, but that didn't bother me.What bothered me was that the couple in the movie was absolutely miserable, and they seemed willing to stay that way. The husband had ulterior motives, based on his career plans, but there was no valid reason for the wife to live the way she was.I don't want to give anything away, so I will just say that better choices could have been made on both their parts. If she couldn't get over their rocky past, she should have left.
