hillzfan Where to begin...this story explores the multifaceted issues faced by affluent white youth as they plunge into a world of chaos and disorder. Steve's plight of being torn between his dreams of being a baseball player and staying true to his posse reflects the universal theme of duty vs desire. Paris Hilton shines as the troubled young heiress struggling between marrying a rich man and following her heart. With stellar acting and a well driven plot, this movie is a straight on hit. It is a wonder none of these actors won an Oscar. Supported by a witty repertoire, this film will have a future fan base comparable to that of Napoleon Dynamite. The emotion present throughout the film is gripping and enthralling. An ending no one could predict brings an existentialist aspect to the film. Two thumbs up, I highly recommend this film!

seanymphette Wow, I had the opposite reaction to this film. I expected to see rehashed, politically correct, moralizing garbage was pleasantly surprised to see a high-impact, kinetic film, with a satisfying story, acted by amateurs with a break out potential. Most Hollywood films today leave me unsatisfied because of the Peacenik Liberal bias. What should happen doesn't, and nobody get whats coming to them. I am sick to death of simpering films made by aged Commie Hippies. It makes me crave films like "Death Wish". I'm not sure if this was an Indie or studio film but it was every bit as good as some was the critically acclaimed Indies like "Thirteen", "Havoc", "Bully", and "Kids". I can't applaud Rene Heger "Duff" enough. First of all, the kid is gorgeous. He has Brad Pitt looks and Adrien Brody talent. This kid is Stella Adler trained and shows a raw, mean masculinity that reminds me of Paul Newman in "Hud". Mark my words, if he doesn't die young like River Phoenix, he will be a huge star. Heger is the next DiCaprio, only more mannish. Jesse Woodrow "Steve 5" also gave a fantastic performance and voice over. The rapport between these two young actors was believable and moving. As for Paris, it was her best so far. Thats not saying much since all her other stuff is so bad, but at least she is no longer unwatchable. She'll grow, get better, and learn to stop being "Paris Hilton" when she is supposed to be portraying a character.

ChriZySnoop Well I must say I'm not a big fan of movies like how some people are to notice the holes in the movie. I did notice how the two kids were invited to their friends funeral even tho his dad said they couldn't hang with him no more. I noticed the acting wasn't too great either(well when Paris Hilton got slapped n she said I loved you Todd, that just sucked.) But Overall it wasn't as bad as some people make it to be. And yes this is the same movie that you people saw. The storyline just kept me interested, making me want to see what happens next. One night I was bored n flipped the channel and saw this and watched it. The way the actors talked made it interesting, and in some parts this movie had humor in it. "Hey B!itch want another?" for example, I was thinking that was funny, even tho it is immature but it made me laugh. I loved Steve 5, especially how he narrated the movie. It made me want to hug him whenever he said he knew he was better then JJ n that gang. But I hated how he ruined his life by hanging with them again, even dying from it(that ending p*ssed me off too) Even tho I thought how the heck are they gonna kill some dude in the middle of the day and no cops are on their @ss, its just a movie. Unrealisic sh*t like that is gonna happen. Now I must say some of you people say only posers n such like this movie, well I'm not a poser. In fact this movie was probably made for teens to teach them what drugs n being in gangs can do to someone and how bad it really is...I think that was the message of this movie. I give it 7 out of 10, I loved the storyline and a few characters, even Heather(Paris's Character) even tho she was a b!Itch to Steve she didn't like the losers and didn't want him involved with them. I think she should have broken up with that d!ck Todd and got with Steve. I loved Steve the best out of them all, but he was stupid for messing his life up, and that got him killed(another message maybe?)

Hilary Fay LOL I give this movie an 8 out of 10 if you want something to laugh at. I bought The Hillz only because Paris Hilton was in it, although she didn't have a huge role. This is the funnest movie to watch if you are high. I wish the guys would stop picking on Ahkmel so much LOL, but that makes the movie funnier. I hope the writers were not planning something serious when they decided to make this movie. Come on, how could a bunch of spoiled rich brats from Beverly Hills decide to go around killing everybody without anyone noticing/caring??? The plot is so unrealistic, which adds to the humor. It is supposed to be a thriller, but I'd say it's definitely a comedy.I have made some of my friends watch it, and they all thought it was funny but incredibly stupid. HAHA LOVES IT!!!
