Synopsis

After serving 25 years in prison for robbery, Dean Payton returns to his home town to see his daughter, Sally, who is unaware he is her father. He befriends Cal Yates, the now semi-retired assistant sheriff who originally caught him, and Chuck Wilson, a young rancher who has eyes for Sally. Wanted criminal Al Goss holds up the local bank and makes his getaway, taking Sally hostage. Showing he still has what it takes, Payton, along with Yates and Wilson, take off into the hills on horseback to try to track Goss down. - Written by Doug Sederberg

Dorathen Better Late Then Never
Stephanie There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes
Lela The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
revdrcac Before John Wayne, there was Harry Carey. Carey was a mentor to John Wayne early in his career, with Duke adopting many of Carey's mannerisms and acting style. This film, which also features Hoot Gibson, Tom Tyler and Ralph "Dick Tracy" Byrd, is a wonderful example of the great western films that Harry Carey starred in over the years. In this film, the outlaw/protagonist leaves jail after a long hitch to find a world which he no longer recognizes. Cars & street-lights have replaced lanterns & horses. Harry Carey is wonderful in this moving western, which was written by the great Director John Ford! Many folks nowadays shy away from these early westerns...... don't make that mistake, this film will appeal to all fans of great stories and wonderful acting !
