Synopsis

In the spring of 2010, a church lock in at First Baptist Church was organized by Pastor Chris. In the first hour of the lock in, one of the students, Justin, had an unusual “incident” and was “inconsolable.” It was reported that he calmed down and kept to himself for the remainder of the event. Two days after the lock in, Justin reportedly broke down to his parents that he experienced something “evil” at the lock in. He also claimed he captured everything on tape. After watching the footage, the parents met with church leaders to discuss criminal charges they were considering filing against the church for child endangerment, neglect and torture.

Reviews

Thehibikiew Not even bad in a good way
Smartorhypo Highly Overrated But Still Good
ActuallyGlimmer The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
Teddie Blake The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
tshirindla Not a great movie cinematically, however, there seems to be a bit of interest in it. While this movie may never become "The Room" contrary to Vice Magazine's 2014 review of the film, it has a few moments of okay-ness. I believe that the only way to watch it, as of this review is by knowing one of the individuals who was in the film and has a copy. The film didn't do well enough to support keeping the official website domain.
nammage It begins with a former youth pastor speaking about how he saw a video during a church lock down where a pornographic magazine was brought inside and a demon was set loose!!! He talks about how he and others had to edit it down to the length it is now so they could show it to the elders of the church. I guess they get bored easily. Being a youth pastor during that demonic incident made him quit his job and sell insurance for a living. I didn't know youth pastors got paid enough to live off of?The acting wasn't actually that bad unless they weren't acting and this really happened?!?! No, no, no...really? No, the acting was bad. They spoke normal but there was no acting therefore the acting was bad. Now, I've been in churches that were Protestant and Catholic, where they had statues or glass panes that had naked people in them. I've even seen Bibles with naked people in them and a popular feature is the Biblegod touching man painting. Those dudes are naked. Statue of David is also popular: dude's naked. And if all it took was for pornography to make demons appear then thousands of churches in the US would be overwhelmed by demons. Every week. Also, the Bible has pornography in it. It's called "The Songs of Solomon". That is explicit sexual acts written in the Bible. If demons were in pornography then demons would have been rampant from the very first Bible. One of the most stupid parts, to me, was the girl talking on the phone to a friend of hers about how disgusting it was that those boys and/or her boyfriend had a dirty magazine and how she'll go out with another boy at school. Being a guy myself, and growing up in a similar environment, every guy I knew had seen some form of pornography by the time they were 12 years old. At first many boys think it's weird or gross but then they hit puberty and it's something they think about a lot. Is there that rare boy that has never seen pornography? Sure but they are the rarity. And as I stated before: if you have read the Bible then you have read pornography because there's an entire book on it. That's why they tend to skip "The Songs of Solomon" in Sunday School for children. The special effects in this was really poor. It was like they just darkened one area and that was it or hit the camera on the floor...speaking of the camera...what was up with the closeups of the face? Am I missing something? I did not get that. There was a lot of crying, screaming, and "Jesus Saves" moments but it all felt nonsensical mainly because if there was a demon in the pornography, why did it wait to get out at the church? And, that's Biblegod's house, right? So, why didn't Biblegod protect them from this demon going around killing people? Oh, yeah, they were all fine at the end. The cameraman was just hallucinating, apparently. Well, that showed him. He goes home and puts his box full of porn in a trash bag (but doesn't actually throw it away). Idiotic.Message I got: if you look at pornography just make sure you don't take it to a church, otherwise it's safe in your room. In a box. Under your bed. Or wherever. Keep it on the kitchen table. You'll be fine. The demon only comes out in a church.
