Nonureva Really Surprised!
SeeQuant Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction
Clarissa Mora The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.
Sameeha Pugh It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
smetaxas I loved this movie, having lived in a small New England town I can really appreciate this movie. Wish more people would get the message that Gossip is a real sin. It is a story of a divorcée fleeing to her home town to hide from her husband who is trying to take her daughter. Once she gets there she is not sure it was the right move for many reasons. The only part of the plot that kept me from giving it a 10 was the side story of a local thief. I felt it did nothing for the story line and was a little silly. One review asked where to purchase so I'm making this review. Here is a link to where it can be purchased. It is titled by the other title it is know as "GOSSIP" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004ZKYAWA?tag=moviefone-20
pheonixcowgirl Just wondering if anyone knows where this movie can be purchased? I tried to search for it on Chapters website and there is a couple of movies with the same name but this movie does not come up in my search. I actually haven't even seen the movie yet but really want to as it was filmed in Brigus, Newfoundland which is about 10 minutes from my home and I love Brigus, it's so beautiful there. So if anyone can help me in my search of where to purchase this movie I'd be very grateful. So far I have collected just about every movie filmed in Newfoundland and my sister told me about this movie and now I am so curious to see it. And for anyone who enjoys movies filmed in Newfoundland I highly recommend a movie called Rare Birds. Very funny movie with Andy Jones, Mary Walsh, Molly Parker and William Hurt.
jaza20032000 I saw this wonderful movie on hallmark channel (australia) and i have to say it was heart warming, great storyline and just warm storyline. What defines it is literally the word "Gossip" in a small town, as i am from one its 100% true what happens and how things can be misconstrued so easy. If you want a nice warm movie then rent this you wont be let down. I'll give it a 7/10. MarieGabrielle Rather surprised this story took over 100 pages as a novel. There really is slim material here.Young divorcée (well-portrayed by a frazzled Kelli Williams) returns to hometown with her daughter after a bitter divorce battle. She stays with her sister-in-law (trouble) and basically the title says it all. This film was shamelessly promoted for weeks by LMN network, do not expect much. It is one step up from a soap opera, only because Kelli Williams gives a believable and decent performance as a fish out of water in a boring provincial town. There is a side theme with a neighborhood cat burglar which seems thrown in to add suspense, but it is too slim and unbelievable to save the plot. 6/10.
