Breakinger A Brilliant Conflict
Derry Herrera Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.
deabalo I thought this collection of comedians was great. It reminded a lot of what Latinos actually talk about when they get together (I know my family does). Cheech was great as a host and the rest of the cast was hilarious but you must understand Spanish to understand some of the jokes. **SPOILERS**Although funny what I didn't like about it was the vulgarity of some of the jokes. You can have very funny clean jokes, George Lopez was a little more less vulgar. I really recommend the American Latinos to watch this. It will have you peeing on your seat of laughter.
Luis_ct A lot of "inside" jokes, that anyone who isn't hispanic and speaks fluent Spanish won't understand. But If you are a latino like me, te vas a cagar de la risa all through the show. Specially with George Lopez's jokes, that are not only funny, but also provides intelligent remarks on the hispanic culture, on our customs and way of life that make you relate to everything he says. From how we say hello to each other, to the way our people have become integrated into almost every aspect and place in the USA. I give this show 9/10 because I didn't particularly enjoy as much as I enjoyed Lopez's act the other comedians, although they all made me laugh.
hungrylee The reason I chose to rate this movie so low is because I couldn't understand a word of it. I do NOT recommend this film to anyone unless he/she can speak fluent Spanish. And speak it well. If you can't, you won't get the jokes.....TRUST ME. I assume it was a funny show because I saw people in the audience laughing their heads off. Thankfully, I rented it for a dollar instead of buying it. I just couldn't enjoy it. They would tell part of the joke in English, and then the punchline in Spanish. However, the movie was set up good and it was cool watching one of them drive on stage in a low-rider. But all this movie did was feed me Mexican food that I couldn't pronounce. So I didn't eat it. I would take a Spanish class before partaking of this movie.
trilly_ This DVD is hilarious, of course, because all of the featured comics are hilarious. However...if you don't speak Spanish, beware that you are actually going to miss about half of the jokes. We tried to turn on the English subtitles, so that we could get the entire experience, and the DVD doesn't translate the Spanish jokes into English on the subtitles!!! That was a bit frustrating! We were disappointed that there was so much of a language barrier when we are more than willing to support the Latin Kings just as we have enjoyed many other comics who have come out with DVDs/videos. I think the DVD would definitely have been better if we could have enjoyed all of the jokes.
