Titreenp SERIOUSLY. This is what the crap Hollywood still puts out?
Softwing Most undeservingly overhyped movie of all time??
Tedfoldol everything you have heard about this movie is true.
Tyreece Hulme One of the best movies of the year! Incredible from the beginning to the end.
Robert Frye 9 /10. . .I thought this movie was great, it was very well written, directed, and had a quality cast, you don't see too many movies like this anymore. Some may disagree everyone has their opinion so let me break mine down.1.) The story itself had a serious tone on the personality disorders in society, from the main character and his compulsiveness to manipulate people (not just woman), the bulimic girl and her overbearing/pressuring parents, and the members of the group itself using each other for there need to get better, having been to groups myself I can say this was well done.2.) The movie was also hilarious, which helps to keep it entertaining and not emotionally overwhelming for the viewer who could have personal feelings or experiences related to the hard realism's presented. The main actor, Adam Goldstein had the ability to seem so sincere and real when talking to these people that you are laughing not only because it is wrote in the script to be funny, but at the fact that it came across that it was most likely not meant to be funny by the character, just his behavior. This by the way is not one of the more common "So stupid you have to laugh" movies that are being overdone, this is well thought out written comedy.3.) All! And I emphasize that, of the cast are quality actors and actresses. In fact this is one of the best qualities of this movie. There are actually times that I believe they may have had Ken (Adam Goldstein) going up to real unaware people in some of these situations, and though he had a preconceived script in mind, the reactions were so genuine it is as if you were watching an episode of Candid Camera. I by the way am also amazed to see that when looking up Mr. Adam Goldstein. I found he also co-edited and along with Eric Kutner co-wrote, co-directed, and co-produced this film, A very talented individual expect to see more of him in the future. Finally, the only thing I have mixed views on is the ending, at first I was like what the crap? That was a crappy ending, but then the more I thought about it, the more it made sense, Without giving anything away, I think I can say that it is a little open ended, on the premises that you have formed a relationship with the characters and are concerned with the outcome. The decision in the end seems consistent with the characters lack of care, but was probably the first true moral decision chosen for someone else other than their own benefit. Choices like that are made from real feelings even when they come from people who in any other situation come across as having none. This is Deep. I LOVED IT!!! P.S. on a side note the ring-tone on "Ken's" cell phone. . . GIRLS! by the Beastie Boys. . . LoL guess I gave away my age, but that is just an example of how much thought was really put into this movie on a minutest of a detail. May change MY, ring-tone by the way.
