Blucher One of the worst movies I've ever seen
GetPapa Far from Perfect, Far from Terrible
Holstra Boring, long, and too preachy.
Erica Derrick By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.
koohii There is nothing here to see. Urine-poor script compounded by a director who one day hopes to be as good as Uwe Boll, but probably never will be, and an assortment of low-end TV actors who were desperate for work. The delivery of the lines is poor, the "style" for want of a better word is annoying, and the plot, so far as I could tell, was just utterly lacking. Can't blame the actors: they had absolutely nothing to work with and had a director who dragged down their performances like a lead albatross. On top of everything else, the sound quality was variable, but mostly poor, making it very difficult to hear the lines that were there.
cmv32261 On November 9th 2012 I walked into the local Best Buy store with the intent of buying what I thought was a way to efficiently watch television, stream movies, and interface with the Internet. I explained what I was looking for to the Best Buy Entertainment department Sales Associate, did I say efficiently interface with the Internet to said individual, do not recall, but even if I had not 1 would think customer's satisfaction would have been priority 1. Unfortunately like your A- typical Sales Associate all he was concerned in was the amt. of his commission, sealing the deal as fast as possible so he could schmooze some other sucker. He told me about an agreement LG had with Netflix where if you bought a LG Stupid television you would get a year of Netflix Streaming free of charge. Netflix is worthless, movies so poorly written and characters poorly portrayed more pathetic than 1 could possibly imagine. Taste Preferences are of no value, because most of these movies went straight to television or DVD. In essence Netflix streaming sucks, I collect Disability, so I have much more free time than most, so I can easily watch up to 3 or 4 movies a day if I chose to do so, which of course I do not considering what a poor selection Netflix streaming provides, movies through the mail would be way too expensive, that $8/mo. only gets you 1 movie at a time, if you want 3 to 4 movies at a time that is 3 times more, so do not be fooled by what up front sounds like a bargain, because it is far from that. Yes!, The Traveler was a total stinker of a movie, but as I said, doubtful the movie ever made it to the silver screen. Don't get the little girl's ghost being afraid of Mr. Nobody's ghost, even at 2 girls are not nearly as naive as their mothers pretend they are utilizing their vulnerability or feminine charm to get their way, great time to show up kid and provide your daddy with the means by which to get rid of the boogy man right after he killed everyone on 3rd shift. I liked Paul McGillion as Carson Beckett in Stargate Atlantis, but as far as I know he has never played a role in any movie worth mentioning.
mollidew I read some of the reviews first and it is like almost all horror/thrillers, most people don't really like them. Not all are going to be on the par of winning Oscars and how many ever do??? This one I classify as a paranormal thriller rather than hardcore horror even though there was some blood and guts to it. People should quit comparing movies to each other because you will find similarities to other movies because so many have been made. It's not important to a review. I did not think Val's performance was bad in fact he was what I liked most about the movie. He played it perfectly as he always does. The supporting cast was fine. Most of them had small parts so there was no way for them to stand out much except Black.Someone mentioned the photo of the little girl. This is only a guess because they don't really tell you but her father had been there. He is most likely the one who took the picture and I think he stepped away to the car or somewhere else momentarily to come back and find her missing. The whole movie had a really eerie feel and it left me thinking WOW. Even though it looked lower budget I thought for the genre it did a good job. It doesn't deserved to be rated a one or a two because it was better than that. The traveler and Detective Black were the focal points of the story and both of them did a wonderful job where there was little in the story to sustain it. There was only the run down police station, lonely and quiet on Christmas Eve.
Spaceygirl : "The Traveler" is one of those films that starts very well and draws the audience to know more of the story. But as it progresses, about 40 minutes into the movie, the film begs you to be open-minded and to suck in all the stupidity it delivers. delivers. If you hate illogical horror, you better not see this film, especially since it delivers obscure moral lessons. It's also very (very, VERY!!) icky and violent....and the acting is AWFUL! (I told you Val Kilmer was dodgy Bronwyn!) It also suffers horribly from repetition, making it boring...and really Val Kilmer needs to give up acting now because he's embarrassing himself and WASTING OUR MONEY!! 1/10
