Just browsing through amazon video and came across this. I have to admit it did peak my attention because of Miranda Hart. Her character is plastered across the front cover, so I assumed she was one of the main characters...she's not. Nevertheless I actually really enjoyed this film. It's very low budget with a cast I've never seen before, but I found it really funny. For the subject matter, it could have been heaps wittier but it wasn't badly done. They could have done a lot more with the characters, more secrets unfolded, a few more little twists here and there. I laughed throughout though and I absolutely loved the ending, hence my 7 rating. Give it a go!

I feel like I would've approached this film more fairly if I hadn't bought the UK version with Miranda Hart's beaming face plastered all over it. She appears in person for maybe... 6 minutes? And then there's another 10 minutes of screaming off screen that was probably done from abroad because she suddenly got famous and goddamn this film wanted its sixpenn'th. So putting aside Miranda Hart's performance (like... she clearly knew she had money on the way right?..? I have never seen a professional comedian give so few shits) Who are we rooting for here? Sex pest who literally cackles with delight on finding that the two slender girls are involved (who's "gayer", the women in a relationship or the man engaged to a woman but bad at secretly carrying bodies up stairs? The latter, apparently!) Wife of Bastard who rolls her eyes but never follows through on her valid argument that the money would all be hers either way? Barry from Eastenders?! No Seriously Barry from Eastenders. Okay I've run out of jokes I'm done.

12 people have been invited to a school reunion in a mansion. When they turn up they find they've been picked at random (by the owner of the house who is dying (or has died - it's never made clear)) from a list of people who registered on a website for their school. If they spend the next 96 hours in the house without leaving the grounds they get a million pounds each. The catch is no one is allowed to leave the grounds for the duration of their stay (including anyone else who enters the property, like a pair burglars, 1 fiancée and 2 coppers). All in all, the film never really gets going. And despite Miranda Hart having a prominent position on the DVD box (probably due to her recent BBC show), she is in it for all of 5 minutes (which may or may not be a good thing depending on what you think of her) as Barry's fiancée who has turned up to drag him away for wedding (which was due to take place the day after the reunion) and results in her (mostly unseen) confinement (and shouts for help) for the rest of the film.
