Just so...so bad
Robert Joyner
The plot isn't so bad, but the pace of storytelling is too slow which makes people bored. Certain moments are so obvious and unnecessary for the main plot. I would've fast-forwarded those moments if it was an online streaming. The ending looks like implying a sequel, not sure if this movie will get one

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

I saw movie and wanted to watch it. Then I saw it's fan made and I decided I won't watch it. Later I saw trailer and said let's give it a try. Now I'm disappointed. The movie is ok regarding the quality of the image. But there is this really bad synchronization of audio and image so the actors look like they are synchronized form some other language. There's lack of matching tone of voice with the face expression and sooo many tiny mistakes in the movie. The whole story makes no sense to me. Most of the movie is one boring scene with talking. I have seen movies that use one scene trough the whole movie that are more interesting to watch. It's really nice try of a fan movie, but the quality of the story is closer to the Police Academy than to Harry Potter. And even Harry Potter is no brainer. So I would't recommend it. But still, good job on effects. They are decent.

I expected the movie to be a lot better than it actually was. It started off kinda strange, jumped straight into the action from the mere beginning but after that it started slowing down. Some effects didn't look that great and they were a little bit different than what we see in the HP movies. Acting in some places was poor and has a lot of room for improvement. The so called movie got boring after some time and started checking my phone from time to time. I wanted to see this movie, since I thought that it will tell a lot more about Voldemort and his past, but this movie actually disappointed me.

I'm a Potterhead myself, one of those who wrote in newsgroups (when newsgrups did still exist) trying to figure out with other fans what the next book could be (in the era of BOOKS, not movies yet).
Said that, I've also seen the movies. All of them. A comparison with this one would be highly unfair, as the "official" movies are professional products.
This one should be, in my humble opinion, seen like a fan story.
But despite its short lenght (less than an hour) and the poorness of the sets (all the movie is filmed inside), I saw this Voldemort: Origins of the Heir with pleasure. I gave 8 to this movie.
Yes, actors are dubbed but revoicers are English speakers (their names can be read in credits) and no one would have liked someone talking English with Italian accent. So this is a plus, not a con.
Yes, there are characters not canonic, but this is for the sake of the plot.
Costumes are great. Lights are good. Directing might not be so great, but good enough.
To sum it up, my opinion is highly positive.

If you decide to watch the movie, and I recommend you to do so, do it as if you were about to watch a whole new thing. It is a branch of the original series, and it must NOT be taken too seriously regarding inconsistencies with the books. Pretty much all of the reviews I've read thus far are more than likely coming from those mad HP fans that won't accept anything slightly different from what they already know. Anyway, it's a must-watch, if you do it with an open mind and heart.in the begining, you'll feel a little confused, but that feeling will soon vanish as you keep watching.and the plot at the end. DUDE, that was awesome.
