Did you people see the same film I saw?

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

This movie was released in Mexico as "Juntos son Dinamita" (Together they are dynamite"; I never quite understood why they changed the names of movies so dramatically when releasing them in Mexico. That's a completely different story. This movie was a big success as it was funny and very much anticipated and expected as all other movies from Hill & Spencer by the kids in my age group. Yes, I was a kid in the 70s, but 30 years later I still have laughs with my brothers by singing "bom, bom bom bom, bom bom bom... la la la, la la la... Even when the plot is completely impossible, the story line is fantastic with the limited dialogs included, and even when the violence would have higher ratings in today's fruity kids world, I never felt more excited coming out of the cinema in my younger days... Good times...

This is a great film. A friend lent it to me, and I thought I probably wouldn't like it, but it turns out that I love it! It has everything: Side splitting scenes, like when they are singing in the choir ("Bwa-bwa-bwa!"), cheesy bad guys, retro fashion, a stylish bad guy, in the form of Paganini, and true friendship. I thought the fight scenes were amazingly well choreographed. 10 out of 10!

This is one of the best films starring Terence Hill & Bud Spencer. The plot is very easy to understand... if you can't understand the plot of this film, take my advise and go back to school!.It's a very simple but effective film. Great music score by the brothers De Angelis, funny dialogues, great comic fights make it unforgettable. This is a great comedy only for the intelligent, so if you are unable to enjoy an innocent film like this just turn off your TV set and stay in bed for the rest of your life...

Way way back in 1978, this film ran on our cable about two weeks before we got our first VCR. I've been looking for a copy ever since. It may be the single best of the Hill/Spencer collaborations; wonderfully silly and harmlessly violent. Hill/Spencer films have always reminded me of the better Warner Bros. cartoon shorts -- as if the Wolf and the Sheep Dog interrupted their long-running battle of wits and teamed up to save the peaceful sheepherders from the evil cattlemen. If you like slapstick humour that falls somewhere between Hope & Crosby, Laurel & Hardy and the Three Stooges, but more physical than any of those, this is a film you should see.
