A bit overrated, but still an amazing film

Well what can I say ? This film is amazing and Queen is amazing here. The crowd kinda sucks though but it does no detract from the viewing pleasure. And what pleasure it is ! You must , and I repeat must , in this day and age get the Blue-ray. Previous comments before 2007 I guess complained about the poor video quality in the DVD, but the Blue-Ray shows other unsung heroes (at least on the IMDb comments) of this show, and those are the director and also the cinematographer. I really feel that the cinematography here is exceptional, and probably the best one I have yet seen of a live show film. In my view this concert and cinematography are much better than Scorsese's Last Waltz. Freddy just seems so alive and close, and the lighting and colors are as dazzling as the music and performance is. Other people here already commented how good the show is, and Queen are of course legendary, but to this I just have to add - You absolutely must watch this on BlueRay (Or the film theater) otherwise justice would not be done. I give this film a solid 10/10 ....

The concert footage that was used for the majority of this video was taken in Montreal on November 28th, 1981. Freddy died on November 28th, 1991. Talk about irony. Ten years to the day, he passed. Amazing talent that passed too soon. I never got a chance to see Queen live due to the fact that by the time I had disposable income for concerts, they had stopped touring America. I still think their last album, Innuendo, was Freddys strongest. Amazing since he recorded it as he way only months away from dying. I have read a ton of books on the band and this tour had those incredible lights which the band called the "pizza oven" lights. The one thing I found odd was the fact that Queen opened the show with "we will rock you", (a sped up version), and then played the regular version as either a show closer or encore.

What a great collection of classic Queen songs!!! It's a pleasure to listen to, indeed! But I say listen, because the picture quality is not quite up to standards. But close Your eyes, it's the music You want, isn't it?

Queen are quite simply the best rock group ever. "WE Will Rock You" is one example of how good Queen really were. Performed in the early 80's this concert rocks so much. I've been a Queen fan all my life and this concert has always been one of my favorites but I still think Queens "Live at Wembley 86" was their best concert.Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon, brung the house down in this brilliant concert, Queen are real quality.9.5/10.
