ChikPapa Very disappointed :(
Helllins It is both painfully honest and laugh-out-loud funny at the same time.
Sameer Callahan It really made me laugh, but for some moments I was tearing up because I could relate so much.
Roy Hart If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.
Nessa - I think Mariah Carey's performance this this movie was just OUTSTANDING... I'm very pleased, and would like everyone to know Mariah is becoming such a lovely actress :) this is a TOP movie for those who cry during movies, please caution on watching around children due to profane words. :) Overall this movies is one of my favorites, and i'm sure it will be one of yours. Before watching this movie I had high exceptations, and I wasn't disappointed. If your bored, and have nothing to do. I highly recommend that you go out and buy this movie, trust me it is guaranteed to leave you in tears:) I am a huge Mariah fan and in this movie. Mariah proves that she has the brains, beauty, and talent. This was an outstanding movie great effects, and great graphics.
arturo_smallcharm There is a girl named Meg (Mira Sorvino) who decided to let behind her painful past, now she left her home in Missomi to be able to get a job as a waitress of a weird "familiar" restaurant in Stalen Island, New York who became in a dangerous place that belongs only to the mafia. Certain day, Meg being a good nurse, by accident save a man who shoot himself in his own nose. That leads with Meg being accepted and protected by the mafia, more specifically by Mr. Santalino (Arthur J. Nascarella). However so soon Mr. Santalino's admiration to Meg leaves troubles to Meg and company, Raychel (Mariah Carey) and Kate (Melora Walters) "This last hides a perfect secret".They will know that handle the mafia is not that big deal instead the survival fight it is. Don't miss it!
talcottp2004 This film, based on past experience of the cast (particularly one) and the director surprised me in its quality. A very funny script combined with superb acting performances by the main three, particularly Mariah Carey made this film a very entertaining few hours. A stella performance by Mariah and beautiful directing, a class movie must-see! On the negative there were a few slow moments in the movie where not very much seemed to be happening, but only very few. A great concept for a movie i thought delivered well. Raychel, as a character was strong and strangely likable, the best lines seemed to be reserved for Mariah and she played them well, its a shame it was never really released commercially as this film is a lot better than many of the blockbusters in the cinema presently.
mahajanssen I was advised by my video store clerk how really bad this movie was but I persisted especially after reading some of the user comments here. The plot, though predictable, is well played. It starts off slow and after a while, you feel like it's not really getting anywhere but things start turning just as when you least expect it. But guys be warned - it's a chick flick so you might not have the patience for it.You guys are right - Mariah is pretty decent here but I don't think she had to stretch too much. She's basically playing herself but she's doing it smart; you know, playing familiar characters before venturing into the unknown. I just wish she'd cover up a bit more. She looks like a striptent reject!Mira Sorvino is the light of this movie. She seemed to have disappeared after getting an Oscar but I don't think the movie executives are too pleased with her movie role choices coz I don't hear about her anymore. Anyways, she did good here and if she keeps this up, she'll get another Oscar. I just don't understand why she's not getting all the hoo-haa. She's got the looks and the talent for it.
