Disappointment for a huge fan!

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

Personally, I have two (well 4 ;) ) words for you when it comes to this movie.. "Seth Green" & "Matthew Lillard" ;) Need I say more??!! This is a hilarious comedy where 3 teenage friends (now far into their adulthood - OK, well not that far) reunite at their 4th friend's funeral to complete his 'bucket - list' last item.. one that they had ALL FOUR agreed to do as young children. They had no idea he had actually started the journey they had all talked about all those years ago. This is very similar to "The Goonies" ;), which is probably why I loved it so much!! A 'classic' never dies, even if it's with different actors and a completely different plot!

This movie is so refreshing. There are too many movies full of violence, guns, high tech special effects. Sometimes, a gentle movie such as this one is very fresh. In real life, how often do you see guys hanging out in the wild just to have fun, so many males in the US are afraid that others might call them gay if they hang out together too frequently. At first, I was really impressed by the natural beauty of Oregon, but it was actually shot in New Zealand. The blue river, the green mountain, the fresh air, I wish that I can live in a place like that.Seth green is adorable, I don't know how old he is, but he is like a big kid in this movie, his acting looks natural and naive which made his jokes even funnier.I wish that I can have a fun adventure with those guys in the wild, that would be so unforgettable!

This is the story of three friends (Green, Lillard, Shepard) from the big city of Philadelphia who go canoeing together out in the woods and mountains of Oregon State after the death of a friend, Billy. Billy was obsessed with going there to search for the unaccounted-for $194,200 out of the $200,000 that famed airliner highjacker D.B. Cooper parachuted with quite possibly to his death in 1971 $5,800 of his marked ransom loot was found in 1980. Canoeing down the Columbia River, the trio soon finds that their canoeing experience goes wrong..., both horribly and hilariously wrong, as the river turns dangerous, and they have encounters with the crazy mountain men (Burt Reynolds) plays who live near the river. For the sheer laugh factor alone, I liked this movie. This was actually one of the few movies that I expected to be funny and it turned out even funnier. I already knew about Seth Green (Dan Mott) and Matthew Lillard (Jerry Conlaine) from prior films, but I had never seen Dax Shepard (Tom Marshall). In my opinion, this movie isn't nearly as funny without Dax Shepard. His lines were funny, yes, but the way he delivered them and the way he spoke was really funny. The movie was simple and silly enough; three childhood friends go on an adventure in the woods, get lost, and tick off some marijuana growing hicks in the process. There were no events too absurd, yet some of the events were made for you to stretch the imagination, which is what you need for an effective comedy.
