Btexxamar I like Black Panther, but I didn't like this movie.
Limerculer A waste of 90 minutes of my life
FrogGlace In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Neive Bellamy Excellent and certainly provocative... If nothing else, the film is a real conversation starter.
adonis98-743-186503 Wonder Woman starring Rileah Vanderbilt, Clare Grant, and Alicia Marie. Wonder Woman faces two simultaneous battles, one on Earth and the other in Themyscira. For a short film 'Wonder Woman' (2013) does look pretty good and i liked the fact of how they showed her battles both on Earth and Themyscira while facing humans with guns and giant monsters but unfortunately seeing it today on 2018 after the actual Wonder Woman movie has been released it does fall apart in comparison with Gal Gadot's take on it in all 3 films (BVS, Wonder Woman and Justice League) but like i said for a short film it's pretty decent but i'm sure they could have done an even better job. (6/10)
Platypuschow At only two and half minutes your options are understandably limited so this short decided to take the approach of an art piece, almost a cinematic trailer. It shows Wonder Womans conflicts in both our world and her own with brief fighting scenes and no dialogue. The effects are great, everything certainly looks the part and the music is fitting so what went wrong?Honestly I'm not sure. It may be our heroine, I think she was miscast. This should have been better, but something just didn't feel right. It's like a beautiful oil painting with a huge tear down the centre, brilliance tainted. The Good:Looks the partGreat soundtrackThe Bad:Something just feels offLead failed to impressThings I Learnt From This Short:A spear can bring down something the size of a skyscraper
Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de) This is a 2.5-minute film starring Rileah Vanderbilt as the title character. We see her fight a bunch of thugs on Planet Earth and a giant monster somewhere on another planet. On Earth she is alone, on the other planet she has a couple other female warriors with her. Maybe that is her home planet and these other woman are her people. Anyway, this was almost too much for under 3 minutes really and it looks like this is actually a standalone film and there will be no feature film in the future starring Vanderbilt as Wonder Woman. I have to say I am not too angry about this. From what i saw here, I do not feel the need to watch a 120-minute movie about Wonderwoman. Or at least not with that lead actress, who does not do too much for me in terms of attraction either. So, all in all, I cannot recommend Sam R. Balcomb's film from 2 years ago and I am not too surprised he hasn't done anything new since then. "Wonder Woman" is a fairly forgettable effort.
willz187 Did anybody see the Wonder Woman series unaired Pilot of 2011? Just watched it. I guess this is just as much a review of that as it is this short - as there isn't much to review. If that show looked anything like this it might've had a chance. In order for costumed characters to be taken seriously they need to go through the Hollywood rendering machine, with all it's filters and magic. Or else you get Captain America 1990 movie. Adrianne Palicki didn't stand a chance with that awful costume. Anyways, Rileah looks fresh and Goddess-like. Gal Gadot has a huge challenge, not only for being so thin, but also with her accent. Rainfall did a great job with this but imagine if the team from 300 got to do WW? They, who know how to go from super slo-mo to back to normal speed so it stays interesting. And handle lighting a bit better. Too dark. Lynda Carter was an inimitable, shining, force to be reckoned with, who stymied all the trappings that go with trying to portray WW. Rainfall has really given us something here. A benchmark in a way. A vision into what a comic book movie could feel like.
